Fantastic stone ground chocolate
Superb stone ground chocolate!!! If you’re obsessed with the best, this is a must try. I sent these to my daughter all the way across the US just so we can discuss the lovely flavors and textures.

Introduces some variety into the usual rotation
These are interesting. They are chocolate disks with a grainy texture, given to it by the fact Taza stone-grinds their cacao beans. I rather like it - it isn't comprised of "hard" granules, its more like tiny crystals which give the whole chocolate disk a stiff, gritty bite. The flavors they include are quite good - none of them taste artificial, all of them have some complexity to to them. I rather liked the Vanilla, and the two Chili flavors also stick in mind - a bit of heat, but nothing intolerable. The chocolate quality itself is very good - obviously so far about the usual Hershey fare that they barely occupy the same category. It's fairly dark - I like 80% plus dark myself and even will snack on baker's chocolate, so this is fine by me, but if you really stick to the milk chocolates this will be less sweet than you are used to. All in all, would definitely recommend trying at least once, or giving to someone else to they can experience something new.

Most amazing hot chocolate ever
This chocolate has spoiled me for all other hot chocolate. Wonderfully rich, intense, and complex. The taste of chocolate is so saturated, especially in the darker varieties, and it is also a bit fruity, a bit nutty, a bit acidic--a party of taste notes! The mouthfeel is so unctuous without being cloying or too thick. I prepare it using a microwave shortcut I learned for making Puerto Rican hot chocolate: 1. Break a disc into pieces into a mug 2. Add a little bit of water to cover the pieces 3. Microwave on high for 45 seconds 4. Stir until completely mixed 5. Add 6 oz milk 6. Microwave for ca. 45 seconds on high 7. Whisk with a small metal whisk for extra frothiness (or stir with spoon). The most amazing beverage. I would drink it everyday if it weren't for the price and the calories. As for taste, the Vanilla and Dark are the most intense. The Salted Almond and Cinnamon are milder (and the Salted Almond is more of a milk chocolate). Haven't tried the others yet. Wish I could have a lifetime supply!

Simply the best!
This chocolate is just the best! Creamy with a bit of stone ground grit. A bit pricey so I only purchase for special occasions.

What happened to these
Gritty texture, sugar crystals, added flavors, none of these things are an issue for me. This hot chocolate was extra tasty every time. The problem is there's something wrong at the chocolate plant. I've purchased these same discs multiple times over the last 3 years and my two most recent orders are horrible. The chocolate tastes like it was stored with fabric softener. There's a further foreign flavor present on every disc. This includes the single disc multi various flavor multi packs and the newer ones with the white wrappers that include 2 discs in each wrap. Absolutely disgusting, have been refunded in full on both of my recent purchases. Not sure what the problem is but I won't be ordering this brand from Amazon again. Yuck. 1/15/22 update: have since ordered directly from the company through their website and that chocolate did not have the same problem.

The Classic Collection Variety Pack is way too sweet, with most of the discs only around 50% cacao. So much sugar surely eliminates any health benefits of the chocolate. I threw most of them out!
