Can the glass/plastic be removed?

Honestly, I would spend a little more money on something nicer. It’s cheap plastic and both of mine came with scratches in the plastic.

The frame is wood but the lenses is plastic

Can this fit a newspaper?

No, it’s too small for an full size newspaper.

Does this have a glass front?

No. It’s cheap plastic/plexiglass and so scratched that the entire shadow box is unusable.
