During the many years I lived in Scotland, I enjoyed oatcakes every morning for breakfast with fruit. I was so happy to find that I could order Stockan’s Orkney Oatcakes here in the US. Aside from being heart healthy and full of soluble fiber, they are a fantastic alternative to plain bread. Try with peanut butter, smoked salmon, thinly sliced ham or turkey, cheese or hummus. Also great with soup and a salad. My favorite is a fat slice of gooey Brie and a piece of tart apple atop a thick oatcake! Heaven! The case of 24 packs of 8 oatcakes each were securely packaged and not a single oatcakes was broken. I would urge you to try them. Oats are very effective at lowering cholesterol and oatcakes are wonderful for people who don’t like hot cereal or who don’t have the time to cook oatmeal. Besides, they have a great crumbly, toasted nutty taste that is incredibly versatile. I love them.

I love these with smeared with natural peanut butter and a piping hot cup of coffee. Yum!

I visited the Orkney Islands this summer and through my travels in Scotland, I purchased 15 different brands of Oatcakes. After all my tasting when I came home, these were my favorite. They also make thin oatcakes that are good.

Would have given 5 stars except that a number of oatcakes from bottom of box were either broken or had too many crumbs. Probably need a more substantial cushion at bottom of box since packages receive rough treatment en route. Flavor etc is great, these are my favorite oatcakes.

Products were one month past sell by date. Update… After contacting the seller I was told they were not out of date. I have the exact same package, bar code the same, with the date from 🇬🇧 as they do Day Month year. Perhaps the manufacturer re prints labels for the USA market. Very confusing. Why can’t companies just write 3 letters for months. Thank goodness that there are companies that see a niche in the market for Scottish foods. Helps everyone out. The oatcakes are great, just out of date, or not. As a side note my Luxar cherries from Italy still print labels from country of origin. day month year Best before date. Good value for a snack with smoked Salmon and cream cheese! Yum.

I had these in Scotland when we visited many years ago and have never been able to find oatcakes like these since. The other brands just don't have the same flavor and texture. These go great with aged cheddar and Scottish Ale!

Make a nice snack in between meals top of the peanut butter and chocolate cheese but didn’t like salt

i was buying two per week locally but the shop stopped. stocking the. I buy these instead at a cheaper price. They are packaged securely as I haven't had a broken oatcake.

They taste Just wonderful!

In my experience some oat cakes taste distinctly off (faintly rancid); Stockans have a clean wholesome flavour. A good base for cheese, nut butters, humous and so forth.
