NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6 Cable Modem Router CAX30 Compatible with Xfinity, Spectrum and Cox, AX2700 (up to 2.7Gbps) DOCSIS 3.1

I've had wifi and routers since dialup and phone modems went caput. I've had Belkin networks, Apple Airport networks, Motorola networks and, frankly, I've rarely had any complaints. So when I tell you that this Nighthawk gateway is a great purchase, take it to the bank! Setup was a breeze. The extra features and services are great and many. The only thing I'm noticing is that my wifi download speed is noticeably reduced when using the vpn. I've read that happens with all vpns, so I guess it's not unusual.

Our previous Nighthawk router (C7000v2) had reached end of life and was no longer going to receive updates. We took advantage of a Prime sale and got this about $80 off, and I could not be happier. On the lowest cost plan Comcast offers, we were seeing speeds consistently between 80-150 mbps depending on the time of day. This new unit has yet to go under 200 on the same plan! We also really appreciate the free trial of the Armor coverage…this was something that was never on our radar, but after getting 5 notifications of blocked DOS attempts, we will definitely be keeping this service long term. As an added bonus, this was the simplest and fastest modem I’ve ever set up with Comcast.

It's expensive, but worthwhile. I paid amazon an extra $4.99 and received it in one hour and twenty minutes. It was an easy setup, but with a glitch. We had to call Netgear to fix privacy issues. It's easy if you know the routine, but we took the long road.

Love the looks of the modem/router sleek and techy doesn't take much room. Took us about 30 minutes to set up using the Nighthawk app. My only complaint is once it installed we couldn't figure out which one was ours since there are few others Netgear user in the neighborhood, which instructions would identify it for us. Once we figured it out we name the name so we can easily identify it. All my gadgets and appliances in the house are working great no more lagging so far so good.

Purchased this as a replacement for our old modem/router which was no longer supported by our internet provider. Was easy to set up and just WORKED out of the box. Would definitely purchase again.
