Comodo Body Pillow High Class (Made in Japan / 60 x 20 inch (150 x 50cm)) Dakimakura Pillow for Side Sleepers (Anime/Maternity) - Washable

UPDATE: I purchased the inner pillow from Dakimakuri and have found that even with the price being greater than that of this COMODO pillow, I prefer the Dakimakuri inner. Dakimakuri pillows have a much nicer combination of firm and fluffy when compared to that of COMODO. (E.G., 50% Firm and 50% Fluffy on Dakimakuri vs 80% Firm and 20% Fluffy on this COMODO) This is still a good choice if it's your first time purchasing a body pillow, you're cautious of price, or you want the instant gratification of receiving your pillow in just two days through amazon prime. However, I still wholly appreciate and prefer the Dakimakuri pillow because it not only fluffs up nicely against me when I hug it, but also allows me to sink into the fabric and stuffing when I lay on top of it, and these are the two positions I find myself always falling asleep in. I highly recommend the Dakimakuri body pillow more if you're willing to pay the difference in cost and don't mind waiting a while for it to arrive. <------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW ------------> I really like how this pillow can be purchased for only a fraction of the price of other high-end body pillows crafted in Japan. Some of them can get to be over $100 for the cost of shipping alone, so this is great. This pillow fluffs up and expands really well if you pull it out of packaging when you get it and give it a few punches evenly along every side. The dimensions are a good and genuine 150x50cm, and it'll fit any body pillow cover of that size. Another huge positive of this pillow is that it ships from California, so if you live in the U.S. and have Amazon Prime, then you'll get this in just two days compared to the normal month that you'd have to wait if ordering straight from Japan. It's nice and firm so I can hug it when sleeping, put it by my back when laying on my side, or put my neck on it while reading to maintain good posture. All around great pillow. I can recommend it.

I kinda made fun of people in the past for having an anime pillow, but after watching some videos and reading up on it a bit, i thought - "that actually sounds pretty comfortable". Little did I know that I would soon have my own pillow, and several nice pillowcases for it! Zero regrets. There's a lot of different pillows out there, some cheap, some (like this one) not-so-cheap. OR you can go the route of buying a specialty pillow from a dakimakura site. Nah. This one is great, stays firm, nice n comfy. It's a hundred bucks, which for the size and comfort it's given me seems reasonable. It feels GREAT to sleep with, curled up with, wrapped around, under my head, under my feet, whatever. I let my body tell me where it wants me to put it, and that's where it goes. Then, when it's time to cuddle with my anime honey - it's allllll good. I understand now. The weebs were right. I was a fool to judge them, and I owe them a heartfelt apology. No regrets.

Very comfy pillow with a lot of very high quality cotton. It's expensive, but frankly, worth every penny if you want great quality. Great for use even without a cover, it's soft and stretchy!

Give it air and time (and a few fluffs) and the compressed wrinkles that was in the packed box will turn into the softest pillow ever. Don't make the mistake and immediately lay on it after seeing it puff up, you should actually wait a few hours for the inside material to breathe before finishing with a lot of fluffing. I always fall asleep quick, but I noticed that I was in a deeper sleep with the pillow. Very soft. Slightly taller if I shake it before setting it down, but exact size I expected. Lighter than I thought. Used air freshener to remove the box smell.

Very soft and authentic, the tag has the "Comodo" logo on it with "Made in Japan" on the other side. It puffed up very good, i'd allow a couple hours for it to puff up though so it can completely expand. Overall this is worth the money and much better than buying it from the us. (Any site that is us-based for dakimakuras are bootleg, i've done my research before buying a daki) The quality of a bootleg is vastly inferior to the real thing. So make sure you purchase a daki thats made in japan for the real thing. Edit: I wouldn't buy if your planning to get a high-end dakimakura inner later on. You'll probably not end up using this after experiencing something as soft, smooth, and premium like the marshmallow kai EE.But If you just wanna get a good pillow to cuddle with at night then this should do just fine. Update 7/30: One last thing, if you don't have a cover for your daki yet, I would suggest you buy from cuddlyoctopus or sakura palace. I got mine from sakura palace (high-end and more expensive)

If you're tired of dealing with cheap body pillows from Bed Bath & Beyond that don't fill your daki cover, are uncomfortable, rough, flat, and noisy, buy this. Wrap it in a nice 2 way tricot cover, and you'll have one of the most comfortable things ever. It'll fill the entire cover, it won't slip around, and be almost impossible to wrinkle. You can squeeze it as hard as you want and it'll spring back into shape instantly. Don't bother with the higher end, more expensive models. I also have a Lunoa LU9900LS-T, and the only upside in comparison is the heavier weight filling. The CMD9000 is a lot lighter, but is still better in every other category. The only thing you'll have to deal with eventually is that after some time, it'll start to get a bit clumpy. This is easy enough to fix in 2 steps. Step 1: Take your waifu cover off of it. (Not strictly required, but if you're attached to her, it'll make sense in step 2.) Step 2: Violently smack the snot out of it from all angles. Done. Unclumped and smooth again. Absolutely worth the money.

Little expensive but this pillow is the best out there. Been using it since 2022 and the filling still remains as firm as ever but soft at the same time. Great to pair it with your favorite covers.

Next day delivery, Dakimakura fluffs out fine, you can pack more polyester into the pillow to bulk it up more if you wish, it seems fine out of the packaging though to be honest, haven't seen any flaws with the outer layer as of yet seems strong enough and is very smooth, but time will tell.

Very comfy, buy a pillowcase from the same company you will thank yourself they make top quality pillowcases.

Got flat after a while

I've tried other kind of dakimakuras before, but this one is certainly the best I've used. It's not hard, but certainly not too mushy. It has the right consistency when going for a hug with pressure and the right softness when gently patting it. Weight is also perfect and I was able to sleep very well. Back when I purchased it in 2022 it was about 100€ which was a fair price for fantastic sleep experience for years. Seeing the price at 250+ € in 2025 however is way too much I must admit. I won't fault customers to go to other alternatives that are half or as good as this one for a 4th or 5th of the 250+ € or even going to a different shop that sells the same product for even less. My rating will be for this reason at 3stars instead of a perfect 5stars. If the pricing can go down to below 200€, maybe 150 even€ I will set it back up to 5stars.
