So this does exactly what you would want a battery to do, it works. I did not have any problem installing this into the controller it's something that pretty much anyone could do just watch a video tutorial if you need any assistance. It fit perfectly inside of the controller. The connection was the right connection to hook it up. I have not noticed any decrease in battery life compared to the original battery. So it just goes right in and it works. I would recommend this battery especially if you find it on sale.

so this battery replacement kit is honestly one of the better ones out there... there are 2 issues i had one the wire is super long not a big issue if you are creative and can figure out how to rout it, and the voltage on the label is not the same as the original but it seems to work great, i also doubt the stated capacity but it does last longer than my warn original so that's a plus. the other issue i have it the included pry tool is honestly only good for one part of the disassembly and that can be achomplished with the amazing screwdriver inclueded. usually the included screw driver is a joke not this thing its a good size and didn't strip out at all.

I have an older PS5 controller that the battery doesn't last as long as it should, so I am updating it with this one. If you haven't ever opened a PS5 Controller to change anything out, there are lots of YouTube instruction videos out there to help. First is to remove the small black cover over the analog sticks by using the pry tool to unhook at the bottom to access two screws. Next take R1 & L1 botton off using the pry tool while holding in the R2 or L2 button. This exposes the next two screws. Total of 4 screws to remove. Next using the provided pry tool disconnect the top and bottom part of the controller. There are two clips to be mindful of by the Mic & PS button. Once you have taken apart you can gently pullup on the 3 wire connecter to remove the battery. Install new battery in the same configuration. Note the new battery has longer wires to position you might have to work them around since there are longer, but will fit just fine. I like the longer wires, as I think it makes it easier to install and remove the battery. Once installed, reverse your process. Connected with no errors and charges great without an Playstation issues.

My husband’s PlayStation 5 controller had gotten to the point that it would not hold a charge for more than ten minutes. It was painful for him to play any games. In walks this product. Now we are on day two without being on the charger. Please note that the controller is at one bar but still. It was very worth it to make the replacement. There were no instructions included to walk you through the steps to apply the new battery. We just used a YouTube video. But it did come with all of the tools necessary to do the job. Honestly. I would 100% recommend this replacement to anyone looking for one.

Not terribly difficult to change one of these but you're going to want YouTube and your fainting couch ready. Battery appears to hold a charge but going by the instructions on the product description page I need to cycle it three times in I'm guessing normal use, so we're talking sometime mid-feb 2026 before I'll know with my usage. My low usage may be what lead to my last battery croaking after 5 years. Anyway, check online for instructions, there won't be any included or were not with mine.
