Convenient, Secure, and Easy to Use
The Yale Security Deadbolt Lock is a fantastic upgrade to my home’s security! The satin nickel finish is sleek and complements my door perfectly, giving it a modern, stylish look. The keyless entry feature is incredibly convenient, allowing me to easily enter my home without fumbling for keys. The digital keypad touchscreen is intuitive and responsive, making it quick to set my personal code for access. I love the security and peace of mind that comes with the lock. The code entry system means I can grant access to trusted individuals without worrying about lost or stolen keys. Plus, the lock is easy to install and doesn’t require complex wiring or professional installation. This product offers great value for money, excellent functionality, and is easy to use. If you're looking for a secure, modern, and convenient door lock, I highly recommend the Yale Security Deadbolt Lock! Highly recommend!

Great Lock
This is my second Yale digital lock. This one has even smaller front and additional button to disable keyboard - handy when locking door for a night. We replaced high security (flat key) lock just to avoid carrying keys. Installation is very easy, but I made mistake by installing batteries too early to program it before installing on the door. When first powered lock is checking if door is left or right hinged and being on the desk it guessed wrong. It was easy to rectify and it was my fault for not following instructions. It is amazing that this lock speaks helping to set it up. Also hardware for all door sizes is included. My previous Yale still works fine for almost two years on the original four alkaline AA batteries. Having two digital locks and garage opener keypad eliminates keys and is very safe, especially when Yale lock can be powered with 9V battery from the outside. My older Yale is on the door facing West and gets extremely hot with direct Florida sun but works flawlessly. Great product.

Trim and solid design, easy installation, excellent customer service
There is a variety of keyless locks available on Amazon. I chose this one because (a) it was from a reputable lock company, (b) it did not include a keyed option (I specifically did NOT want to worry about yet another type of key for our house!), and (c) the design appeared to be sturdy but aesthetically unobtrusive. I am very happy with this lock; it was if anything even better looking in reality than in the photos, installed very easily on my 1 3/4" door, and works like a charm. Further, I misread the instructions for how to do a factory reset (this is kind of awkward; you have to hold down a reset button while reinserting the last battery), but a call to the customer service number was immediately successful (no waiting at all!) and the CS rep quickly explained what I'd missed. Problem solved. Thus not only is this lock everything it's advertised to be, but also the company stands behind its products (which in this day and age is, sadly unusual).

So far so good...
We've been using this lock quite regularly for the better part of a year. So far, it's performed great... just as expected. We are still on our first set of batteries, even. Installation was relatively straightforward (DIY for anyone handy) and usage is pretty intuitive. My only (minor) concern is that some surface rust has developed on the bolt plate. We live in a coastal (saltwater) environment, however, and have had 2 hurricanes since installation, so I guess I can't complain too much.

Good Luck, Used Amazon Products a Mixed Bag
Rating on the use of this lock. It is basic and seems to work well. The install was fairly straightforward, although for my particular door it required some adjustments to the door frame with a chisel. For most doors this probably would not be necessary. Once the lock is set up, it works well and is easy to use. Only cons I have experienced is that you can somewhat easily touch the wrong digit and have to start over entering the code again, and if in direct afternoon sun the lock becomes extremely hot and may not work at first. As a side note -- not affecting the rating -- I also purchased two used items that I had to return. This is an Amazon issue, not the lock makers. But, the items were described as "like new" and "very good", and both were extensively damaged and had to be returned.

Awesome purchase
So far this has been a great lock for our home and when we was running an Air BnB. Durable and functions as it should.

Nice not having to carry a house key
Fairly easy to install, even if you have no mechanical skills. I had to adjust the strike plate to get the deadbolt to engage correctly (and fully). Not the fault of this lock. Did not come with a Wifi adapter and was disappointed at the cost to add one. Ended up not buying the adapter. The kids have a code to get in if we are gone so the Wifi adapter is not necessary anyway. Have used the lock for a few months now and not disappointed in its performance. Batteries (4 AA) are easy to change but will require a small screw driver. Still using the original batteries that came with it. If you're wondering, should the batteries die, and you are stuck outside, it will take a 9 volt battery to get back in so keep a 9 volt battery somewhere outside or inside you car just incase.

Finally - keyless security! Fantastic
I reviewed countless "keyless" digital locks...that came with a mechanical key mechanism. How is that anything more than convenience?? Any key lock can be picked! This one has no mechanical key mechanism, but still has the ability to be used in the event of dead batteries. Brilliant solution. Works beautifully, and narrates your setup instructions. I liked it so well I bought a second one. Now there is zero access to my house via a pickable key lock.

Junk and zero customer care
We changed to a Yale lock to work with a control4 system, we previously had a so-called smart lock that was faulty and went through batteries every 2 - 3 weeks due to the bluetooth. Well this Yale lock is faulty out of the box, a backset - lock that tighten ups while it tries to close up and sends the lock into fault mode, it has a plastic curve that slides down at the end making it hard to fully close, its tightens and the electronics doesn't like it, sending it into fault mode. Nothing to do with the install, its a cheaply made and with this comes possible issues. We are also unable to register this with the app, it just wont work or connect, maybe due to this, who knows... I have been trying to get answers from Yale but they only have people who give lip service, with the stupid replies, have a wonderful day, they just send you a link on how to install a lock, oh please can they just read what my email said about the issue. No idea, no care with no answers, hopeless. I have installed many locks, but I can tell you these smart locks are not worth the hassles, they rely on too many things to work, wife, bluetooth, batteries, and cheaply made components. Its a fad the world is going through, these people are getting very rich selling us junk, all while blaming our end for the issues, like, batteries, wifi or bluetooth or even the install, that had a conventional entry lock previously installed that worked fine. Keep this in mind, you can go on holidays for a week to get home only to be locked out, it happens and often. As for this Yale lock, sadly they are cheaply made and extremely difficult to set up, by far the worse I have seen in all locks. If you really want an easy entry, stick with a conventional entry lock and install a magnetic latch, it needs power but they work 24/7 365 days, guaranteed. And 20 times cheaper then this junk.

No More House Keys
This is our second Yale Assure lock. We had the same lock, along with the Wi-Fi module at our previous home and left it when we moved. I was really happy with the first one and couldn’t wait to get another one. It’s a bit challenging to set up because the doors never seem to be 100% compatible. Takes a bit of finesse. But once it’s set up, it’s so easy to use and, when used with the network module, works great on Wi-Fi with the Apple Home app. Unlock the door before you leave the car. Give the kids and guests their own passcodes. Auto-lock after a set period of time so you never have to worry that you forgot. Best of all, throw your house key away.

Worked initially but now not so Assured
Easy to install with the BILT app and quick to configure. Great phone support when I needed it. I just had it for a couple of weeks and so far so good. Everything is working as expected so let's see how well it will hold up. 30/10/2023: So this has been more than 2 years since I wrote the above. The lock has been failing to open reliably for the past few months. What I mean is that sometimes when unlocking it, the tick was not registered after the pin code had been entered correctly. We got locked out at night so many times and we had to try unlocking repeatedly by entering the pin code then kept on pressing the tick button quickly. The lock seems to have its own mind. It took about 5 mins on average to let us in, sometimes 10 mins or longer. Battery is not the cause because it has enough power to move the latch to lock it and enough power to unlock it (when it worked). I have replaced the lock with something with mechanical buttons and hopefully avoid the lock-out situation altogether.

Item arrived tampered with, possibly defective.
Item arrived tampered with, box filthy/soiled, without outer jacket (unsealed), missing instruction booklet and parts already taken out from plastic wrappers, not in proper position, electronic motherboard exposed and appeared defective / tampered with. Disappointed and returning it.
