We have a home gym that's filled with equipment galore (including other pieces from Spart Fitness) but I knew I needed this the minute I saw it. With the more than affordable price tag, I wasn't going to let it get away from me either! It arrived super quick- packaged/protected well, completely void of damage (no scratches, dents, dings, rust, etc) and 100% assembled and ready to go! This is one of the huge draws to this bar/weight- you don't have to mess with plates or clips! That's a convince that I really appreciate, especially when I'm trying to get a quick work out in and don't have a ton of time. The bar quality is great! The steel has a chrome finish, which really doesn't show signs of use and doesn't flake off. The 25mm grip (with knurled increments) is comfortable to hold (with or without gloves/grips), doesn't slip and sits perfectly on a bench or stand. The rubber weights on each end are perfectly balanced on the bar. I appreciate the clean, but bold labeling, especially because we ended up buying a few different weights, after falling in love with the 10lb. The rubber coating is nice and thick (but not bulky) and extremely durable! How durable? Well, my 180lb Cane Corso decided he wanted to fight the weight one day. He rips apart Kong toys in minutes, yet the rubber coating on this is still intact and looks like it never even met my dog. Further, the rubber provides a nice grip in and of itself, so the weight doesn't roll across the floor. It also doesn't damage my floors when the bar falls (or gets dropped). We are lucky and actually LIKE working out as a family. These weights are perfect for when we are all together and one of us hogs the main bench. They are great on the bench, excellent for curls and my daughter and I LOVE these for squats! I picked up the Spart barbell squat pad, which fits perfect on these and feels great. There's so much you can do with these weights! They are incredibly versatile and BEYOND convenient! I'm a major quality snob, and I'm beyond impressed with these! ☆QUICK NOTE☆ I had originally ordered the 10lb weight, figuring it would be perfect for light workouts- and I wasn't wrong. We use the 10 pounder almost daily in some capacity. It is really light though. I think this would be excellent for those starting with weights or anyone that's not 100% gung ho on fitness, but wants to do something for their health and wellness at home. It's as low intensity as it gets, but still incredibly effective. Seeing how much we used the 10lbs (and considering that my husband literally wants a commercial gym in our house) we ended up buying the 400lb set, a 30lb and the fixed rack- where all 7 of our weights fit perfect, with one space left for a bar. We priced them out with other fixed weights and found that Spart, on top of having the quality that we want/expect, also had the best prices- hands down (especially when buying the sets! Holy WOW- What a deal). The three of us use them, daily, and the gaggle of our friends and family that come to workout go for them constantly too. (I REALLY think it's because they are less intimidating to most, and less work). We just couldn't be happier with these weights!

I picked up a 10lb fixed barbell for my son to use to start learning how to train with weights. I have a pretty complete home gym but a standard 45lb Olympic barbell is still a bit much for him to properly control with most movements. At his age, learning proper form is key and you don't need a lot of weight to learn. It's relatively small as you would imagine a 10lb barbell would be and the width is standard for what you would expect with any fixed weight barbell you would find at any commercial gym. It's weights are rubber coated and the bar itself is knurled. It's a great looking and well built barbell that is easy to hold and for my son to use with several movements. I even found some use for it in some shoulder stabilizing exercises. It's not going to be cheap if you want to outfit your home gym with an entire set of these, but the price is in line with what you are going to pay for rubber coated, fixed weight. If you want more flexibility and a cheaper price point, then getting a loadable set will be the way to go for you. That's probably what most people should do unless you have a lot of disposable income and you want to build a REALLY nice home gym. But again, this is for a young boy so having the weights fixed is preferable for him currently. If you are in the market for fixed weight barbells, these are nice and competitively priced with what you are going to find out there on the market. I'll update if any issues arise, but as of right now I have no problem recommending these barbells.

I've been incorporating this SPART Rubber Coated Fixed Barbell into my routine, and let me tell you, it's perfect for when I want to feel like a bodybuilder without actually, you know, lifting heavy things! At just 10 pounds, this barbell is so delightfully lightweight, I can practically do bicep curls while simultaneously doing my taxes. The knurled grip feels solid, even if the only sweat I'm breaking is from trying to look serious while doing reps with what my cat could probably carry. It's a fantastic tool for getting a form check, or perhaps for convincing myself I'm working out when I'm mostly just waving a fancy stick around. Plus, the chrome finish makes it look much more intimidating than it actually is, which is great for my gym aesthetic!
