COACH Empire Carryall 21

Perfect size!! I have 6 coach bags total, including the chelsea shoulder 30 and the Brooklyn shoulder 28 and this fits just as much as those two. It holds just over 5.5 liters which is very similar to the size of the chelsea shoulder 30 and the Brooklyn shoulder 28, so dont be discouraged by it being marketed as a "mini bag." The chelsea shoulder 30 and the Brooklyn shoulder 28 are both marketed as "daily bags" and both hold around 5.5 liters as well. Its similarly in size (not capacity) as the lana shoulder 23. The lana 23 holds much more due to its height and the triple compartments. But for size reference, this bag is the same length and width and the lana 23, But it is shorter in height. The empire line is known for being luggage-like and on the slightly larger end storage-wise (since they discontinued the empire carryall 26 and the smallest size available prior to this one was the 28.) But they are one of coach's best lines in terms of leather quality and functionality (imo). This bag fits plenty for its "compact" size, and the gussets on the side of the bag are adjustable, so you can unbuckle them and get substantially more space if needed. In this bag, I can comfortably fit: -compact wallet (bifold with zipper, a full-sized wallet might be too big) -travel size sunscreen stick -travel size deodorant -samsung galaxy s24+ (6.3 inches) -full sized sunglasses case -lip balm (glossier balm dot com) -lip balm (ole henrickson) -lip gloss (ilia in a tube) -foldable hair brush/compact mirror combo (like the old school ones.) I even have some space to spare since I fit all this with the gussets still buckled. The leather is so beautiful, as to be expected with coach, but it will be more prone to scratching/scuffs/water stainung since the newer empire 21 models use coach's semi-vegetable tanned leather rather than their standard natural grain which was used on the older models. But the vegetable tanned leather is softer, more flexible, and will develop lovely patina if cared for properly. Its more than worth it honestly. the empire line was a tough entry at the $550 price point for the smallest available size of the empire carryall 28 (before the 26 was discontinued). This one at $325 is much more accessible in price and still fits more than enough for a daily use bag. Plus, its so dang cute since its so compact! Its like a clown car, it looks small, but so much can fit inside!

Easily may go to purse this summer, holds just enough to make me feel like I have everything I need and just super cute

This new Empire 21 is such a beautifully crafted bag. The toffee color is PERFECT and I truly hope Coach releases additional items in this color. This bag is the perfect date night and brunch piece. She’s classy, sophisticated, and luxurious. Coach’s full grain leather is amazing and makes this bag stand out so much. She also fits my Kindle Basic and the Plaza 18 as a catch all, so that’s a win for sure! I have this in the Black and Maple colors as well. I’d love to see her in Dark Navy, Black Currant, and Loved Leather as well. So happy with this addition to my Empire collection!

I love the empire 28 (bought 3 colors). Empire 21, I held off for a long time. I could not get over the longer handles. I finally bought it because the price was right and I am willing to try. When it arrived, I thought it was tiny but cute. I was surprised the longer handles did not look or feel out of place. It is a little longer but not awkward. It is much better in person than pictured. The color clay is very nice. It’s like a brown with orange undertone, like copper. It is soft and malleable like the empire 28. I was surprised the handle was not in the way at all. I am 5’2” for reference.

I love this bag. Size, it’s beautiful, everything I wanted. However, it wasn’t packaged well. If I’m paying $313 for a purse it should ATLEAST have plastic or bubble wrap around it to protect it…. It was sat in a box with brown paper. That’s it. I wasn’t impressed with the packaging whatsoever. I wanted to reach out and ask why this happened but never figured out how to.

First, delivery made me unhappy. Purse was delivered by USPS, box was torn and bent up. Luckily, the product was not damage. I am not a fan of Amazon products being delivered by USPS. Second, purse was Coach factory wrapped, so that was a plus. Third, My first thoughts where "this looks like an old lady purse"....like your great, great, great grandmother with the green peppermints. When you first look at the bag, the handles are a distraction and the purse looks plain, the hardware is even muted. Nothing "pops". But when you dress her up she is stunning! The leather is buttery soft and the handles, although long, are not 2 feet long like the look in videos. No they won't fit on your shoulders, but on the crook of your arm in a winter coat, perfect. Fourth, even though it is a small bag, it holds a lot! Everything that I carry daily in my Coach small Maggie tote fits in this bag. That was a surprise. So, if you are in the market for the Coach Empire for a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with this bag.

Everything that was supposed to come with this bag was missing. The handbag itself was not included, the leather strap is missing, the Coach care/instruction card is missing, and there was no Coach dust bag. On top of that, what was received clearly appears to have been used before, with visible signs that it is not new as advertised. This is completely unacceptable and nowhere near what was promised. This is not a partial issue—this is everything missing, plus evidence of prior use. The attached pictures clearly show exactly what was received and confirm both the missing items and the worn condition. This purchase reflects misleading listing information and extremely poor quality control. The photos leave no room for dispute, and I expect immediate resolution based on what is clearly documented.
