We’ve been so happy with this smart lock! We first installed it on our garage entry door, and after seeing how reliable and convenient it was, we decided to use the same one for our front door. Installation was straightforward, and we love the multiple ways to unlock it: fingerprint, PIN, app, and key. It gives us peace of mind and makes coming home so much easier. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful smart lock!! This is exactly the camera and key pad combination I've been looking for. This smart lock includes doorbell, camera/video, keypad entry, facial and fingerprint recognition and connection to the MyQ app. Very easy installation and easy connection to the app. If you already have the app (like we have one for our garage prior to buying), it connects seamlessly. I would HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for keypad entry with camera capability...such a game changer!

I purchased the MyQ Smart Lock primarily for its advertised fingerprint and biometric features, only to discover after installation that these features do not work in Texas. The lock itself is well-built, the app is easy to use, and the video quality is good, but one of its main selling points is unavailable where I live. What is most frustrating is that this restriction was not disclosed on the Amazon product listing. The information is only mentioned in fine print on the manufacturer's website, making it easy for customers to miss before purchasing. If fingerprint and facial recognition are important features for you, be aware that they are disabled in Texas. Had this limitation been clearly stated on the product page, I would have chosen a different smart lock. While the lock functions adequately with PIN codes and app access, I feel the product description does not adequately communicate a major feature restriction that affects customers in Texas. I recommend potential buyers verify feature availability in their state before purchasing.

MyQ smart locks are great so far. Easy installation, good quality. I like the camera and multiple ways to open the door (face recognition, numeric pin code, smart phone app, fingerprint, or physical key). I like the rechargeable lithium battery pack rather than regular batteries. I bought and extra battery pack to have charged when one of the batteries gets low. I did have to adjust my mesh wifi to connect to 2.4 GHz as this is the only frequency wifi the lock works with. I rekeyed all locks to the same key using my schlage residential rekeying kit. I subscribed to the ultra monitoring package because I already have 3 garage doors, and I installed 3 door lock/cameras. I plan on installing two outdoor wired MyQ cameras, and MyQ wired garage door keypad/camera for a whole house system. No need for Ring doorbell/subscription any longer. I previously had Schlage Smart locks. I liked them, but they would die after 1-2 years. Multiple locks, same story. All of those locks were under roof, not exposed to rain or snow. I replaced two, but when the third one died, I gave up on Schlage.

Replaced my deadbolt, doorbell, and camera all with this one thing and honestly can’t believe it took this long for something like this to exist. The face recognition is wild — door just opens as you walk up, no hands, no fumbling with your phone. Video quality at night is super clear too, way better than I expected. Setup was easier than I thought it’d be, had it going in like 20 minutes. Really glad I made the switch.
