Capri Tools 30037 14mm XZN Triple Square Bit Socket with 1/2-Inch Drive

I needed this for my 03 Passat GLX so I could remove the steering wheel to install my NRG hub and honestly, it worked flawlessly. The sizing was accurate and perfectly compatible with my bolt, and for the price as compared to what other brands and sellers were wanting for this? I have to say this was a steal. I can't really say much on the durability as this is not a tool I'd use often and was more a better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it buy. What I can say is that while in use I didn't feel any give or flexing of any kind. I felt like I could've put quite a bit more pressure and it still would've been absolutely fine. I've had sockets/bits and torx break on me before and they always have a telltale sign you feel right before breaking, this didn't have any of that.

I bought it for one purpose and one purpose only: to remove the front seat of my Porsche so I could change the battery. Yes, in their infinite wisdom and perception, Porsche designed the Cayenne with the battery compartment underneath the driver's side seat, and used bolts requiring a triple square bit socket to access it. And since it performed that task adequately, I'm compelled to give it five stars. Before looking at my rating and buying this item, keep in mind that I've used it once and will very likely never use it again.

This is a good, well made tool. The teeth are cleanly cut and the materials for both parts of the socket are well engineered and cut. Worth it.......

Needed this for a bolt when i was chaning thermostat. Lost my first 9mm triple. Glad i could get a single one and not a set.

Never heard of a triple box square bit before I tried removing the brakes off a German made car! I needed it quick and Amazon delivered it as promised.

As good as any other brand i've used, bought for a particular job on a particular car, i've never needed a 13mm in the past and my old set goes from 12mm to 14mm. I possibly won't ever need it again but it's a nice addition to the tool kit now.

Like many of other reviewers here, I bought this to undo the rear calipers on a Volkswagen GTI. The socket did the job admirably, but was a bit too long for comfort. There's very little clearance behind the wheel hub, and fitting the socket with a ratchet head behind it could be challenge. This 1/2" drive version is a better tool for the job (as opposed to other 3/8" versions out there) as the bolts are in really tight, and you want the strongest ratchet you can fit in there.
