MAT 66 120 mil 23 sqft Car Sound Deadening mat, Butyl Automotive Sound Deadener, Audio Noise Insulation and dampening

Added this to the air conditioner shroud of an RV. Easy to cut and adheres really well to the plastic shroud. It cuts down some of the noise but not as much as I hoped. Difficult to rate the noise reduction and impossible to rate the heat reduction since that wasn’t an issue.

This product is okay. I used to make my car more quite.

Absolutely inferior to second skin products. The foil is much much thinner and the backing just isn’t as sticky. It looks as if the butyl has fillers in it or something. This stuff seems to stick just enough while second skin is very hard to pull off. But it was cheap and heavy so hopefully mass loading gives me the result I want.

Spent all day installing on the four doors, trunk and floor. Road noise did not reduce in the car. It is like I wasted money and time.

This is not 120 mil material. It is barely 70 mil. Be warned product is falsely advertised One on the left is vibraflex 160 mil one on the right is matt 66 120 mil. Notice one on the left is double the size

I used this on my 1953 Chevy pickup. The results were amazing. This said it’s a lot of work. The product is very sticky but it needs to be rolled to get the most soundproofing. I covered all the floors and firewalls. A lot of work. A heat gun helps in tight areas. I’m very happy with this product and it’s easy to use, just a lot of rolling. Oh yes buy their roller.
