I bought this because I used a friends and loved it. It is sooooo easy to adjust/micro-adjust and change bits. A must for any frequent router bench user. CAUTION! Amazon shipped it in a bare box. Hopefully the average porch pirate doesn’t realize how much it costs.

I ordered this as an amazon return and when received it was missing one of the inserts. This unit is supposed to have three and there was only two in the box. After speaking to a friend who works for Amazon the reason became clear, when Amazon receives returned products the person reviewing simply refers to the Amazon pictures to confirm all parts are received, since the pics only show 2 they assumed it was complete, not the case. I contacted Amazon CS and was informed they could not supply the individual part, but would certainly issue a full refund and return authorization. I contacted Kreg directly and explaining the problem and was very pleasantly surprised when they resounded to my email stating they would ship out the missing item immediately at no charge, that is great customer service. I was already a big fan of Kreg products having several in my shop but I am now a customer for life. Thank you Kreg. To review the actual product, I purchased this to use with a Ridgid R22002 router, the fit was not noted in the guide but worked without issue on the #6 holiest. The installation is quite simply using a pattern bit to rout the releif in your router table, the lift is extremely accurate and the lock feature works great holding the bit height firm while routing. I selected this unit over the Jessem due to the aluminum plate over the phenolic Jessem. I have since purchased the larger insert ring set and can confirm the insert rings lock in securely and are flush with the plate.

I just bought this in anticipation of getting a larger and more powerful router motor for my table. The problem was that I was not yet ready to upgrade the motor and wanted something with which I could continue to use my Porter-Cable 890 series until I made a decision as to what to replace it with. Other lifts in this price range could do this for me with the additional purchase of adapter blocks or rings. This unit accepts a wide range of sizes without the need to buy anything extra. I can use it with my present motor and when I upgrade, I can remove the lift, remove four screw pins, move the clamp blocks to different settings and I will be good to go in about ten minutes. The quality of the build is what I would expect from Kreg. Very smooth and solid. The only quibble I have is the plastic wrench provided for changing inserts seems a bit flimsy. One other thing to note is that there is no provision for leveling the lift plate from the top. It is designed to be use with Kreg plate levelers which are installed on the bottom of the table in the corners of the cutout. Not a deal killer, as they are less than twenty bucks and install very easily. The downside to this system is that one has to remove/replace the lift multiple times to adjust the set screws to get the plate exactly flush with the table OR you can leave the lift in the table and work upside down under the table and throw your neck out doing it. Fortunately, you only have to do it once.

Great lift for a Bosch router, fitted into a small Kreg table. Device is solid and well machined, lacking sharp edges and with smooth controllable precision movement. Router fitted into the lift without issues and the only real step that requires more thought is the leveling of the plate with the table surface and consideration of where the switch and cable are going to be. The convenience of being able to change bits without reaching under the working surface and fumbling with two wrenches simplifies projects where multiple routing tasks may be necessary. The combination is expensive however.

This is a great lift at a great price. It was easy to install and fit my Dewalt 618 perfectly. The one thing I didn't like about it is the fact that it has no leveling screws. So you have to buy the Kreg leveling pads. I don't like those either as you need to level your plate from underneath while keeping an eye on it. So I drilled and tapped 8 holes, 2 at each corner near the mounting holes and used some set screws. Now I can level from the top. I did have one small issue with the adjustment crank that it used to raise and lower the lift as well as lock it down. It wouldn't fit into the locking wheel. So a couple of passes with a file on each flat surface and all is good. I have an old set of Woodpeckers aluminum insert rings, which they don't make any more. So I wanted to know if they would work. Before purchasing this router lift I asked Kreg, here is the exchange: Q:Will Woodpeckers aluminum insert rings fit? A: The Kreg PRS5000 is designed to only accept the Kreg Level-Loc Reducing Rings. Kreg Technical Support Manufacturer · 3 weeks ago I was bummed that I wouldn't be able to use them as they are a great set of rings, but when it arrived I checked and the Woodpeckers aluminum rings fit perfectly. Bonus, I get to keep using my old rings.

When I first thought about purchasing this item, I was thinking wow this seems expensive, I already have the Kreg table and standard insert. I knew I needed to upgrade but had to think hard about spending the money. I examined the documentation and router compatibility list and see my router was not on the list. I have an older Ryobi and no variable speeds. I knew I would also need a new router to fit. I bit the bullet and purchased the Dewalt router and the Kreg router lift. It arrived and after inspection I knew it was worth the money, it is very well constructed and rugged, Fit my bench perfectly. Rasing and lowering the router was a dream and the precision is defiantly noticeable. I recommend this to anyone wanting to upscale their work. I do woodworking as a hobby but spend every day in the garage and this lift is amazing.

when ordered i was , Wow seems expensive but when recieved unit was made very robust , and quality was A1 Have not used yet on wood but very excited and cannot what to try it out , Its going to be slick as goose poop to use !!! Very pleased with the purchase at this time .I installed in a Kreg portable router table easy piesy . Very pleased ******* Had a chance to use this item this week end , WOW love it makes routering so easy for adjusting that little bit when adding detail work to doors etc, No bending over , tring to adjust manualy and getting to much or not enough Wow , I'm just a hobby guy, But well worth every penny save up and get it you will not be dissappointed ! in my opinion . Great job Kreg keep up the good work !!

Couldn't get a router to fit it. I had to cut it up and re design it to get it to work. Too small for all routers in europe
