The light turns on and off every few minutes as the temp adjusts....). Although it feels kinda cheap and flimsy, it's very lightweights and it works well and is serving its purpose. But the RV also has exterior electrical outlets. We prefer to cook and eat outdoors when camping even when we have full hook-ups. Cooking with propane canisters is a lot more expensive than electric.
