Best shoe for Insanity
I am 45 and started insanity last summer, using a pair of crosstrainers from another company. I ached all the time in my knees and back, so I considered giving up. But I started to think about the shoes I was using and came to the conclusion that CT's are useless for just about anything other than being a shoe to wear. What I mean is that their is not a shoe that can do it all, it has its limitations. So I figured a shoe for a sport that involves alot of lateral movement and jumping would be perfect for Insanity.I looked at tons of basketball shoes, but they really are hard to find in a low top, so I moved my search into volleyball shoes and am I glad I did. I wore these only inside my home for the sole purpose of completing the whole rigorous regime of Insanity. I never once had the knee pain, my back soreness went away and I kept pushing play.I loved the gum soul for tractionand the lateral support the shoe gave. The cushioning was very adequate in the shoe and it felt wonderful to work out in these. I will say I have owned Asics before in the past and only used their running shoes. I wear 10 & 10.5 in their shoes in the past, most recently I bought a 10.5 running shoe, so I ordered that size in this shoe. I do think it ran a bit larger than what my foot needed but I felt that the 10 may have been to short and with all the jumping involved I was hesitant to switch them out. I think the last Asics uses is just not in tune with MY foot, 10.5 too big & 10 too small .Overall I love the shoe and would definitely recommend to anyone doing any plyometric training. I always thought it was odd that the majority of people feel like running shoes are the best choice for a plyometric exercise program, when in essence it is quite the opposite.

Comfortable Right Out of the Box
I received these, wore them for two hours around the house, and then played volleyball for two hours in them. I used to play in NB Minimus Cross-Trainers. I have nothing bad to say about the NB's but obviously they're not made for volleyball. They are ultra light which I loved. I got these, reluctant because they weighed more, but was presently surprised. The .001" I lost in vertical was made up from the increased sole size. The support was fantastic. As you could imagine, my foot was really bothering me playing in the NBs. The pain was resonating up my leg to the point where it felt like I had shin splints. At that point I decided to make a change. I remembered what it was like to get actual tennis shoes to play tennis in so I thought I would give actual volleyball shoes a try. Wow! Two hours of play and very little pain in my foot (mainly because I didn't give it enough time). I would highly recommend these. They are light for volleyball shoes, somewhat stylish, and compared to cross-trainers, they are a must have for an avid volleyball player. Size seemed to be spot on. I wear a 10.5 in all my sport shoes and these 10.5's fitted perfectly. Again, if you're on the fence about getting volleyball shoes, take the plunge.

Great all around training shoes.
I do P90x (all variants) regularly and needed some shoes for all of the Plyo workouts. I read a bunch of reviews of cross trainers but none really seemed like they would be perfect. Then I started thinking after I saw these and volleyball shoes made perfect sense. After using them for two Plyo workouts I can say they are awesome. They feel great and are just snug enough. They absorb the impacts from jumping better than any other cross training shoes I've had and are very good during lateral movements.Like many other reviewers stated a half size under what you normally wear should fit perfectly. It did for me. I recommend these to anyone looking for a great all around training shoe and they are spot on for jump training.

Solid Volleyball Shoe
I've been using these shoes for several months now for indoor volleyball. While playing indoor volleyball for over 20 years, I've had several pairs of volleyball shoes, but these are my favorite. They are slightly stiffer than I'm used to, but it doesn't affect game play. They are well-cushioned for the occasional bad landing. The camber is perfect for my receive stance. So far they are holding up very well, with no apparent signs of wear and tear. Recommend bringing a regular shoe for travel to and from the volleyball court, as the contact surfaces aren't made for asphalt or concrete.

Decent shoe, but sizing runs large
Great shoe overall. Footbeds canted forward a touch so you find it easier to stay on your toes, which is what you want. WEll designed and great grippy--but not too grippy-sole. Only gripe is that they run a touch large compared to every other pair of Asics volleyball shoes that I have owned over the past 20 years.

Ill buy them untill i cant get them anymore.
The only volleyball shoes i truly love. Light and fast with good grip. What they lack in cushon they make up for in solid accurate responsiveness. These things are like high performance tires, light fast and firm. Not big slow, doughy, cushy truck tires.

defect in webbing
I used to think these court shoes, that I use for squash, were the best court shoes I've used because they fit like running shoes, whereas other squash shoes i've used feel heavy and stiff. However, i've owned 3 pairs of these shoes and I have to change them out prematurely because I get a gaping hole in the front stitching with between 4-8 weeks of use. I've never had this issue with other squash shoes I've used, so I suspect this is a defect in this shoe. This applies to the funky blue/green shoe as well. I have seen other people develop the same problem with this shoe as well.
