I Am A Godox Fan for Life!
I used to waste all of my money on more expensive equipment, but now that Godox is here making these market disrupting power houses, I am a very happy camper. I have sold all of my other lights and am totally Godox now. Before I got the AD400 Pro, I already had a couple of the AD600's. I kinda knew what to expect, but I really didn't. In the pictures I posted here, it really doesn't do the 400 justice, it is so much smaller, so much lighter than the 600. The power is obviously not the same, but it's still incredibly impressive. The modeling lamp is almost blinding too. I have used these as video lights as well. I really love how I can use this, with the 600, 200 and speedlites by Godox all from the Xpro remote. Life is so much easier now! I took a bts shot during one of my editorial shoots. I placed the Bowens mount adapter on the AD400Pro and threw an octabox on. I was really blown away by how powerful this little guy is. And it held up to my large Bowens mount light modifiers as well. The only downside is that it's quite a process to put the Bowens mount adapter on and off and you can't put the reflector/bulb protector on with the Bowens adapter on. However, I found a work around for this that I am very proud of. If I am going to use Bowens mount modifiers, I just put the adapter on and use one of the AD600Pro reflectors/bulb protectors to cover it. Works like a charm. Check out the pictures to see. All in all, this is an ingenious light system and for the price, it is absolutely unbeatable! I will be buying a couple of more of these to round out my kit.

WOW! (Pros & Cons)
PROS & CONS PROS: The lighting is fantastic! It's reliable. The setting options are great. The build is sturdy. I don't know why anyone would pay so much for a ProFoto when the performance is so close... YES, ProFoto is better, but NOT for $1,000 price difference... With the ProFotos you get a cooler screen & easier control, and a little lighter weight... But why not buy THREE OR FOUR OF THESE instead on ONE ProFoto when the photo results are the same. CONS: This bad boy is a little heavy... It doesn't seem bad until you're holding it over your head for awhile. If you use stands, no biggie. My assistant said she needed a good arm workout anyway... For this price & power I'm ok with the weight. IN SHORT: · Great light · Great control options · HSS · Works great with godox system (and without it too) · A bit heavy

Works better than expected.
I'm very, very pleased with this purchase. It has been nothing but a solid performer. Nice, consistent lighting, great battery life, easy to use, and a really nice case. I would buy this again... and I definitely recommend it to anyone that is a professional photographer and needs good quality, durable, dependable and consistent lighting. If you're on the fence about buying this, just take the plunge... you won't regret it.

Awesome strobe for the money
I received my AD400Pro and the first thing I noticed was the new battery with the external reset button (yellow tag). I put it through its paces and it worked flawlessly with the X3s trigger! The TTL and colors were also spot on! I am going to use this as my main outdoor portrait strobe along with my AD300Pro for my secondary light setup. Great purchase for my growing Buisness!

Battery issues
This Product has a battery issue It's great when it works I've only used this light a couple of times the first battery I just figured I got a defective battery So I bought a replacement for 150 I used that battery one time and now I'm trying to use it again and now it's dead If you look at most of the negative reviews it has to do with the battery I wouldn't recommend buying this product especially for the price with this issue $600 plus a new battery each time you use it which cost $150 Could have bought a higher quality light for that price

GREAT FLASH! Super powerful and compact!
This flash is awesome, I do mostly interior design photography and this is the perfect size and power combination. I also shoot headshots and lifestyle photography. The color accuracy is great for skin and the power for outdoor shooting is plenty. This is has a higher price tag than the non TTL versions. If you're doing headshots or outdoor lifestyle I would definitely recommend the pro series with TTL. If you do mostly interiors and static subjects the TTL function is nice but not necessary. It comes in a really nice case that will actually protect your flash. Honestly, the power compared to the 600 is not that different but the compact size for travel is awesome. Very happy with this purchase :)

New Favorite Light
I previously used the AD200 Pro and I still love that flash, but I felt I needed something with a bit more power and a faster recycle time. The AD400 is perfect! It allows me to basically shoot nonstop and I basically never worry about battery life or recycle time. While larger than the AD200, it is still very portable when shooting on location. This is a great flash for photographers who are looking to make another investment into their gear and step up their game!

Great strobe
Great strobe. Versatile the TTL feature works great, and can be used as a starting point before switching to manual by using yhe TCM function, which let's you know what setting the TTL used. Easily adjust with exposure compensation.
