Soda Crystal very handy and Works well

Bicarbonate of soda, or soda crystals is a greener way of tackling your domestic chores. A few spoonfuls in hot water with some liquid soap will remove grease off things if you can leave it overnight even better. I have also just killed all the green moss and black spots on my patio with a mix of this and white vinegar. Plop some in your clothes wash and negates the need for added stuff to keep your washing machine gunk free. I also leave some with some white vinegar in the drum after my wash and my machine never smells. great stuff. loads more uses if you check out the internet.

I’ve ordered these three times now. They’re useful for lots of things - unblocking drains, cleaning, deodorising, and I mainly use them in the washing machine because we’ve got hard water and it helps reduce detergent use. Price is reasonable too. Odourless. One time though, the whole bag turned up like a rock. I had to go outside with a hammer to break it up, and even then some chunks were too hard to crush by hand. Bit of a pain. Just to note: this isn’t the same as bicarbonate of soda. Washing soda = sodium carbonate (this), baking soda = sodium bicarbonate, and “green bleach” is sodium percarbonate. You can sometimes get it cheaper at B&Q, or in bulk (4 x 1kg) from the same Amazon seller if you’ve got storage space. I gave it 4 stars because it usually works well, but the solid-bag issue was annoying and could happen again.

Useful addition to cleaning. I use primarily added to washing detergent to help remove stains and it has always proven to be effective and brighten whites.

Product is fine but a bit expensive - since bought the same product for half the price. I appreciate there is a weight consideration with postage hence 3 star

Just what I was looking for

It arrived as 1 solid brick - not useable- i couldnt smash it into a crystaline powder ! Absolute waste of money
