I hung mine from springs (Porch Swing Hanging Spring Kit - 1600 Lbs Heavy Duty Suspension Swing Hangers Hardware, Hammock Hooks Ceiling Mount Set (2 Sets) Brand: BLASCOOL) from desertcart for about $40 so there's not much bounce to them but it provides great shock absorption and it's easier on the ropes, too. Assembly was easy, using the nuts and bolts provided - probably 16-18 total. Stains well (we got it unfinished) and it looks beautiful. Being outdoors, I'll have to freshen up the stain every few years but if you use a high-quality stain/varnish with UV protection it should last quite awhile. I bought springs to hang it from the pergola I had built and it really adds comfort to the swing - not bouncy but good shock absorption. Oh, the cupholders are a must to hold your coffee in the morning while you swing. Review: Very sturdy - Contoured nicely, comfortable, might want a pad. Worth the investment

Tough to assemble, easy to relax
Took close to an hour to install by myself. Product is top notch. I purchased the one with cupholders and I'm very glad I did. Spend a lot of time in this chair. Comfortably sits 2 people. Just wish the height was easier to adjust, hangs low on my porch.

Beautiful, sturdy piece!
We purchased a home with a swing under the deck and the sellers detached and took the swing :-( We purchased this to replace it and it is BEAUTIFUL and extremely sturdy! (Springs come separate!!)

Perfect
Beautifully crafted, easy to assemble, comfortable. Ropes instead of chains makes it very quiet. I love the built in cup holders! This should last a lifetime.

Looks great but ropes are too long and can't be shortened enough to hang the swing at the right height. It hangs too low. May need to buy a chain instead. Grandchildren love it!

this was delivered before the actual stated date for delivery which was a bonus. Very easy to assemble. It is very comfortable and I love the cup holders. I ordered the dark walnut and its a little lighter than I expected which is what I hoped for. The rope seems to be very sturdy. It does stretch a bit after use. But, I liked this swing so much I ordered another one!! I would highly reccomend
