Kershaw Fringe Pocket Knife

Bought this for my son as an anniversary gift. He lost his other knife and was needing one. Amazon had this knife on a Black Friday sale.... the price was AWESOME. He loves the feel, the easy smooth opening and closing of the blade. It is a very nice and high quality knife! Would highly recommend! The blade is extremely sharp! Perfect weight and size!

After I lost my Buck knife that I’ve carried for over a decade, I started looking around and found this Kershaw Fringe. I got it today and already put it to work, cutting, slicing, opening packages, etc. Fast shipping, amazing quality knife, and it looks great! I like my daily carry pocket knives with no serrated edge on the blade, and this knife is perfect! Just straight cutting edge the entire way. Spring assist works fantastic and the ergonomics feel really nice in my hands. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new knife!

I own several Kershaw pocket knives. My go to has been the Cryo G10. I liked the Fringe since it is slightly slimmer and the blade design was more adapt to opening boxes and letters. The design opposite the pocket clip is attractive and it has the SpeedSafe assisted opening, which I like. So I bought one. Received it very quickly. The assisted opening was a little stiff but that will get better with some use. Pretty sharp but could use a few passes on my leather strap. The issue was when I clipped it into my pocket. The thumb button next to the pocket clip protrudes out too far and catches my pocket when clipping it in. The button sticks up almost half the gap of the pocket clip. Getting a knife clipped and unclipped from my pocket easily is a big deal when it is used regularly and this simple design flaw could keep it from being my go to every day carry. I will have to see if the buttons can be removed since I hardly ever use them, but I shouldn't have to do that. Kershaw R&D should have paid a little closer attention to this detail. I will see how this works out.

Kershaw are by far my favorite clip on jeans pocket knifes, had one for many years that I lost, airport packing issue, so ordered this model, really like it, is very sharp which I seem to always find out the hard way, so careful it will cut you especially when new, don’t ask, like how very little shows outside on my jean pocket. Can’t go wrong with a Kershaw and would buy again.

Just opened the box on this knife. This is my first spring assisted knife. Right know the spring flips the blade out quickly and holds firm. The clip is solid and holds the knife securely in my pocket. I have medium to large hands and I'm able to hold onto the knife with no issues. If you have big meaty hands this knife might be to small. As of know, I couldn't be more pleased.

really like this knife. Handle is smooth but not too slippery. the auot assist is great. This is lighter than the Kershaw Cryo that I had before. Size is good. Quality is great. Sharpness, remains to be seen, i have had it for a week.

Had another model of Kershaw pocket knife that I liked a lot, but it was so shiny and slick that it kept sliding out of my pocket and getting lost. After losing two that way I wanted to try something else. So I finally decided to find a knife that wasn't so shiny and slick. I like this model. It works well for its intended use (mostly opening amazon boxes) and had yet so slide out of my pants pocket. Good purchase.
