I personally use this a necklace pendant although I still keep the key strap so I could switch back any time. And for two weeks wearing this around playing sports, working, running, washing; I found the key blade itself remained in pristine condition. For $8.99, I wouldn't expect these to last for over a year. Although if you're the kind who takes care of your possessions, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch. It's lightweight and not too big so it won't weigh down your keys. It also doesn't feel cheap either, I tried to bend it a little and it wouldn't budge. It's a nice and subtle way to show your appreciation for the series. The only thing I don't like about it is that the Disney copyright and made by China lettering are imprinted on the keyblade itself. It would have been better it if was imprinted on the other side of the small Kingdom Hearts logo instead but it's okay. That's just something minor so I won't take off a star for that.
