The previous one I had (MW600 I think) did not operate while being charged... I have this one paired with an iogear BT transmitter to my comp. This "gateway" has been far more reliable than the MW600 and has longer battery life, I would guesstimate 2x. From my personal experience though the range seems somewhat shorter than the MW600, in the real world I get about 50 feet with 2 insulated walls between, which I guess is pretty good. **Q: Can we use this for jogging or working out?** A: The wireless signal goes about 25 to 30 feet for me, u can use the earbuds for working out as long as your iPod or speaker is in that range. It comes with 3 different sizes of ear pieces, they fit pretty snug **Q: Just making sure it has a standard 3.5 mm jack for a wired cell phone HEADSET w/ a mic. I can use my favorite old headset and do not have to rely on** A: It has standard earphones jack. The earphones comes along with this set has little bit short wires than regular earphonee wires as bluetooth is places either on top of shirt or collar.
