Very good material for anyone in risk management.
An excellent companion for any risk practitioner either as a guide for managing risks in the office or a companion as additional reading for examination. However , it seems a bit skewed towards financial institutions than non financial institutions.

Quite repetitive without many practical examples
The book arrived damaged, although the damage did not prevent me from reading it. More importantly, I'm only about 150 pages in, but I've found that some of the content is duplicated almost word-for-word except for maybe changing a word in a sentence. In other areas, the same concepts are discussed that were already mentioned. Ultimately, I feel the length of the book is excessive, especially when it's light in practical or real-world examples. Yes, there are case studies, but I wouldn't consider them as such. Instead, they're more like excerpts from orgsnizations' RM plans or standards. I suppose it's a good, general read. If you're looking for something grounded in examples, look elsewhere.

An essential roadmap and navigation resource for the Risk Management journey
All too often we bring our preconceived ideas, influences and habits to a topic that ultimately inhibits our development by not fully understanding the issue. This book is extremely helpful in starting from the beginning, educating and guiding students and professionals at all levels. It is a must read and essential inclusion in one's risk management arsenal to ensure your considerations, actions and pursuits are accurate. I highly recommend the Fundamentals of Risk Management for those that appreciate that it is not a simple "gut feeling" and is an actual learned, practiced and bonafide profession.
