Great product
Excellent quality. We have used it for 3 years now in our caravan and it has been reliable and great every single time. It allow us to camp in places with great views where you would not find electricity. We can fully use the lights without limitation and charge phones without a problem.

Heavy to transport but sturdy and more stable in wind. Work well Good value
The panels are made of glass and not the thinner laminated type which may give some performance benefit but are heavy to transport. However, the weight can be an advantage when camping as they will not blow over easily and have a sturdy all metal support arms. I tried these on an autumn sunny day and got just over 70W direct connected to a LiFePo 13.6v battery. I consider this a good result as the sun was low and without an MPPT controller the max power point was not being used. I bought them at a good price so I consider them very good value given their performance.

Very decent unit, albeit heavy
So was impressed with this unit when it arrived. It is bulky and heavy, but was useful for the campervan. Set up was easy, and even on a cloudy day it returned a decent amount of current for charging. The attached Renogy charge controller (not MPPT) also was impressive, allowing different charging profiles for different battery types. Unfortunately I had to return the unit because I realised after a day that I needed a 200W unit to keep up with the amount of power I was using off grid under a day with cloudy conditions. However this unit would easily keep a 100Ah battery charged through a day, returning over 5A under cloud consistently. Quite impressive. Overall I would recommend but be aware it's quite a bulky, heavy item.

Best portable solar panel
After a lot of research I chose a Renogy 100w portable solar panel without controller as I have one built into my power bank. Now I eventually purchased two totalling 200w. On a sunny day in March I got up to 248w from both which is amazing in the spring sun. On a heavy grey cloudy day, no sun or blue sky averaging 10-20w. Don't be put off by them being heavy, they are not just robustly built compared to flimsy or flexible equivalents which don't stand in the wind and are annoying. So very pleased and would recommend . UPDATE These portable solar panels have been great to point that I ordered 7 more and now have 9 of these. So when fully positioned and connected in two series, I would expect 900w going into my inverter bank. Although in late autumn with low sun on a good day or two was getting around 700w accross them all. Which is pretty good for a folding solar panel. As we go into winter it will be hit and miss, but at least than can be folded and put away in their cases. So hopefully next hot spring /summer, if we get one, will be the big test! Hope this helps anyone out there....oh and I have nothing to do with Renogy whatsover!! UPDATE 2 Now we have had awful lot of rain, which is an understatement, but we had a good few days of sun a couple of weeks ago. So I thought I would give y'all out there another update! Out I went the solar panels, all 9 of them into a south facing garden all day. I occasionally monitored through invertor power bank and was amazed that they peaked at1078 watts in spring sun. I'm no solar geek by the way, just an average Joe. Anyway hope all this helps UPDATE 3 I feel like I'm monitoring these portable solar panels! Just like to give everyone as much info as needed for them to make an informed decision on purchasing. I have now 12 of them and have exceeded their total constantly in good weather, 1200watts plus. Being fully portable, modular and flexible, it was a no brainer. They can be set up anywhere and left, checked on and turned to face an ever moving sun. Now you can't do this with a fixed panel of any size. I've taken a few camping with inverter to top up and trickle charge. Taken set up to work to charge tools and work lighting etc, so to keep working. Yes you can get bigger and more wattage output but the weight increases to a point that it's not viable to transport. As in past last updates, I am very pleased with the Renogy portable solar panel.

Over delivers!
For a hobby project I needed a couple of small 30–50 Watt solar panels. I already had several Renogy solar panels and they all delivered the specified power output, so I knew what brand to get. The individual renogy 50W panels were £53 but I found this folding suitcase model on offer for £90. It is rated at 100W and consists of two 50W panels, so £45 per 50W panel. Result! The panels itself have an average weight but with the addition of the folding suitcase hardware, the set is quite heavy. No consideration for my intended application but buyer beware. The adjustable kickstands and other hardware have been removed but will definitely come in handy for another project. The big surprise was when I tested these panels with a Victron SmartSolar MPPT charge controller linked to a 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery. Not only did the panels meet the specified 100W power output, they surpassed that and in one occasion delivered a maximum output of 124 Watt (see screenshot)! If you want a folding suitcase but weight is a consideration, I can recommend the Renogy EFLEX models. I have three of the 120W versions and love them. If you don't mind the lifting, this is superb panel!

So far so good!
I have used this solar panel twice now. I love this kit as it so easy to use. Simple to set up, clips directly onto battery with crocodile clips. First time was a test run, good sun, provided caravan battery with 13.7v - 14.2v Second time was moderate sun direct. Again provided top end of 13.7v and was able to run 12v TV from the battery for a good 2 hours without decreasing the battery power until the sun started to go down. I haven't tested the panel in lower UV yet however from the performance I've seen so far I don't think this panel will struggle to keep a trickle charge to keep the battery topped up. I have bought this panel for that purpose, just to keep my battery topped up whilst off grid. Plug and play kit either everything you need and a nice case. Stands up well. A good weight so it won't blow over if a breeze. Some people have suggested a long cable so your able to move the panel around the van to follow the sun better but so far I haven't struggled with the cable that's come provided. Sturdy piece of equipment. Happy customer so far.

Dead impressed
100watt panel, with leads. Having used solar for the last 30 years in our camping units, I didn't think that I would be impressed, wrong! I have 220watt panels on the roof of my new motorhome, then this freestanding folding panel as extra capacity. Comes with a decent length cable, with battery clips, which work and are strong, but I bought some short leads to connect permanently to the battery, plus some push joints for connecting, to replace the clips. The bag is well made and protects the panel when not in use. Obviously being freestanding you can adjust angles to chase the sun, giving more power for longer. Sunny day in May it was pushing out 5.8 amps, good enough for me! The supplied, attached controller is superb, giving a choice of battery type, wet, GM. and every other type, it shows amps, voltage, wattage per hour and total for the day, plus the battery state. It is totally waterproof and easily visible to see the charging rates etc. There's also an automated float charge facility that protects your batteries once fully charged. Very impressed, especially at the price, mostly you get what you pay for, in this case, in my opinion, you get it bargain! I would definitely recommend this product! In addition, today stronger sun, 6.8 amps at 14.2v equates to 96watt, not bad out of 100watts, as nothing is 100% efficient!
