- hard item to find in stores these days - good item - as expected- only wish it didn't requre a 9-volt battery

I knew from other reviews that it did not come with the 9v battery. Yes, kind of annoying that it needed one. But hey, this is kind of old tech. Paperwork in box seemed like it was supp to come with the battery. We could not get the screw out of the back battery panel, to put in the battery. the screw seemed like wrong one. Seller agreed to reimburse if we sent it back. but we already paid shipping too. We found a plug in our house that we could use with it. It is not correct voltage and realize it could mess up the box, but then we are only out 9.99. so far it is working fine!

Rating for Caller ID
The screw that held the back cover plate on was extremely hard to remove. The ID box only shows the telephone number called after the telephone STOPS ringing.

It does the job and has worked well for some time. Likes new batteries a couple of times a year.

Not a bad unit and works well. Not really good for mounting on a wall and it has NO backlight (which it could definetely use)
