This lip liner glides right on without dragging, but it isn't so soft that it gets messy. I get about a minute to smudge the edges if I want a softer look, but once it sets, it really stays put. It's also so lightweight that I completely forget I'm wearing it. I have fair skin, red hair, and slightly cool undertones, and the shade Grip is really pretty. It's a bit deeper than my natural lip color, but it doesn't look like an obvious, harsh line at all. It just gives the edges of my lips some really pretty, natural definition. On me, though, I do think it leans just a touch warmer than I expected. It's still very flattering, but next time I think I'd probably try the shade Hold to compare. I love wearing it with just a clear gloss or a good lip balm over top to give my lips a little extra shape without looking like I tried too hard. Just a heads-up: Because it locks down so well, I find it can start to feel a bit dry if I fill in my whole lips and don't put anything over it for a few hours. I definitely think it looks and feels best with a little balm or gloss on top anyway. For me, it hits that perfect sweet spot where it's easy to use, lasts through the day, and leaves my lips looking like mine...just a little bit better.

I love lip liner. I love having a variety of different shades and formulas because I wear lip liner everyday and a girl needs options. While the lip liners from Glossier aren't new to the market, I hadn't ever tried them before but I'd heard good reviews so naturally I was curious. I can confirm - - this is a good lip liner. One of my top criteria for choosing a liner is that I need it to last for a decent amount of time because I hate it when my lip liner fades or smudges too early in the day. It looks messy and I'm not always in a position where I can easily reapply it. I'm happy to report that this formula has very good longevity and while it may not be the absolute longest-lasting pencil that I've tried, I'm very satisfied with how long it wears and how nicely it fades. This is creamy and has a nice glide but it does set down and it becomes very smudge resistant. I can easily drink out of my coffee mug or sip out of my water bottle during the day and not worry that my lip liner is just going to fade away into nothing. There's a decent shade range to choose from and while I picked one shade to start with I can easily see myself going back for one or two more. I hadn't even realized until recently that Glossier had an Amazon storefront but I think that makes the brand more accessible for more people and I may finally check out more from their line.

I am such a huge fan of Glossier products and recently ordered their Lip Line, which is just like the name says: a lip liner. I ordered it in the color Flush, which was described as being red but it's really quite brown and not a good shade for my skin tone but works for me with some darker shades of lip color - that doesn’t affect my impression of this but I share it for awareness. This is designed to be creamy in texture - and it is. It’s soft and easy to apply gently while providing good coverage without a lot of effort. It is also designed to be long lasting, water, smudge and transfer resistant. I didn't notice any scent or taste that's beyond the standard lip liner. I really love how easily it applies with one layer vs multiple. It does allow for quick smudging and corrections right after applying, but once it sets, it has great staying power, really living up to its hype. The ingredients are really nice and nourishing, and include jojoba oil, fractional quartz, and a lip grip complex. It is non-drying and great for shaping. I think this is a really nice quality and effective lip liner, and my only wish is that I had gone with a lighter color. Only after ordering this, did I learn that there’s a trick with matching liner shades to nipple shades and I will consider keeping that in mind next time - maybe. Price wise, this aligns with what I would expect from a nice Glossier product and think it’s worth the price.

I really liked the formula of this lip liner, it's a nice color for fairer complexions or to lighten up deeper lipsticks. I ordered the color Grip, which is described as a cool rose, and I'd say it's definitely better suited to lighter skin tones. The pencil itself is very creamy and glides on without tugging. It's easy to trace my natural lip line or fill in my lips completely if I want a little more color under a gloss. I also appreciate that it doesn't feel dry while I'm applying it, likely because of the jojoba oil in the formula. Once it sets, it stays put really nicely without feeling too dry. I noticed very little smudging or transferring throughout the day, and it continued to define my lips without needing constant touch ups. I also have super sensitive skin, and this liner didn't cause any irritation or discomfort. It pairs nicely with gloss or lip oil, and I like that it creates a smooth base so my lip products wear more evenly. Even though Grip wasn't the right shade for me, I was impressed with the quality of the formula. If you have a lighter complexion or naturally cool toned lips, I think this color will probably look much more flattering. I'll definitely look at some of the deeper shades because the performance of the pencil itself is excellent.

One thing to keep in mind is that finding the right shade depends on your natural lip color, so the Buff shade may not be a perfect match for everyone. Based on their experience, this is another well made Glossier product that is comfortable to wear and performs as expected for everyday use. Again, on the pricier side, but they said said it was worth the price.

It works beautifully when paired with their lip glaze, creating a gorgeous combination that enhances my natural shape and makes my lips look much fuller and more defined. While it is a little pricey, the excellent quality justifies the cost. I have also used it on its own to fill in my entire lip and the staying power is incredible—it feels like it lasts forever. The shade Buff is the perfect neutral tone, offering a natural look that would look stunning on any skin tone. This is a beautifully formulated lip liner that gives fantastic results every single time.

I’ll admit, I don’t often wear lip liner. I love doing makeup and wearing makeup but lips have always been something I don’t mess with. I’ve really been wanting to start doing my lip makeup though so have been dabbling in different lip products to see what I like and what works for me. And I have to say, this is probably the best lip liner I’ve tried thus far. The formula is fantastic. This liner is so creamy and it glides so effortlessly to outline my lips or even fill them in. And best of all, once it’s set, it stays put. I’ve gotten hours, and hours of wear out of this liner and that alone deserves high praise. I absolutely love that I can go about my day without having to worry that it’s all smudged or transferred off when going about eating, drinking, etc. I can usually find at least one gripe with other liners I’ve tried, but I honestly have nothing but great things to say about this product. I’ll definitely be ordering more shades of this lip liner and trying out the different colors.

For years working in retail cosmetics, I always heard the old beauty rule that your perfect nude lip color is supposed to match your…ahem…nipple color. 😂 So when I saw that Glossier actually made a lip liner inspired by that idea, I had to see what all the hype was about. I picked up the shade Grip because it’s closest to the pinky nude liner I wear pretty much every single day under gloss, and honestly…it’s a winner. The formula is the perfect balance of creamy and firm. It’s soft enough to glide on without tugging, but not so soft that it turns into a wobbly mess. I can get a really crisp outline around my lips, then lightly fill them in before topping everything with gloss for my favorite everyday lip combo. It also wears surprisingly well throughout the day. The color stays true, doesn’t feather all over the place, and gives my lips that naturally defined look without screaming, “I’M WEARING LIP LINER!” Whether the shade matching theory is true or just one of beauty’s funniest myths…I’ll let you decide. All I know is this liner has officially earned a permanent spot in my makeup bag. 💕
