Absolutely wonderful hydration backpack
Top-notch quality. Its for people who prefer to just have hydration backpack and does not like to carry a lot of weight on their shoulders.

This pack is great. Lots of pockets and fit is very comfortable and snug. Even when fully packed, you can hardly feel it on the back. Perfect for a day out hiking, biking or riding.

UPDATE: See my photo? That’s my Ogio Dakar AFTER a high speed crash. In addition to sustaining a number of injuries, my one-piece leathers, boots, and helmet were completely destroyed. All top-of-the-line gear. The only two pieces of gear that survived to be worn another day were my Alpinestars gloves, and this backpack. It’s pretty crazy, but despite sliding on my back and side and then tumbling in the runoff dirt, the only damage to the pack was that the carbon fiber shell was scratched up. It otherwise looked Fine. Unbelievable. That was back in 2001, and I continued to use the pack regularly until a couple months ago, when the fabric holding one of the zipper pockets began to tear. Nothing too bad, but I wanted it repaired. Contacted Ogio to see if they could do the repair, and to my surprise they quickly sent me a brand new pack. Ogio customer service goes above and beyond, and this pack is simply stellar. So well made. It’s a 12L capacity and Holds a ton of gear—and this is coming from an OCD pack rat. The hydration bladder is the best I’ve ever used. Top loading for easy filling and drying, never had mold, always smells clean, water tastes good. It also has a unique plastic spine that keeps the bladder trim so it doesn’t take on an amorphous shape that could slosh around. The securing mechanism on top is bullet proof as well, using two levers that lock into place. Very well designed. The bite valve is excellent, and I like that it’s actuated by rotating the valve joint. That’s a good feature because if you put your pack on the ground, the elbow of the joint in the closed position usually prevents the bite valve from touching the pavement. I experimented with a lot of bite valves and went back to Ogio’s. My only issue to date really has to do with my riding style more than the Dakar itself. Relative to small hydration packs it’s slightly heavy. Probably no more so than other 12L packs. I’m going to continue using it for longer rides, but for a few hours of spirited canyon riding, will be getting a smaller, super low-profile pack—maybe 4-8 liters. I really only need 1-1.5 liters of water for a 4-5 hour ride in the canyons. If you like to pack a lot of essentials on your day-long rides, get this pack—you won’t regret it. Looks killer, too. By the way, no interference at all with the aero hump on my Dainese race leathers. Sitting high up feels more secure. The adjustability is great, and the motorcycle-specific quick release harness system is a game changer. Definitely a 5 star product with a lifetime warranty. Ogio rocks. ——————- Original review If you’re big, read this: This pack has two adjustment sizes. I was minutes away from returning it when I decided to play with strap connection points. Lo and behold it instantly fit. Later, I realized that a card on the product demonstrates this, but I don’t always read instructions for stuff like bags. I mention this first because I’ve found reviews of other Ogio hydration packs where people complained the straps were too small. I plan to write a longer, in-depth review when time affords, but in short: this hydration pack is awesome. I ride sportbikes in the canyons, and this pack is perfect. It’s bigger than I was expecting. In fact, I wanted something a bit smaller. The hydration kit (bladder and hose) is about as high quality as it gets. The bag has so many conveniences, and it carries weight well. I switched out the tubes with products from Osprey and Platypus. I also rigged it with neodymium magnets; one on the right strap, and the other on the tube. Cold liquid in the bladder remains cold by virtue of the insulation in the bladder pocket. The bag is pretty rugged, too. I have a Dainese Laguna Seca 4 one-piece suit with a large speed hump. The backpack comfortably fits as it sits lower on the back. Highly recommended.
