Dymo usually makes good label machines. This one is a total failure. The software required to make it operate was not available online. When the label tape provided with the label maker was put into the machine, it gave an error code saying it was jammed. Removed it and tried many times with the same results. Don't waste money on this one.

Nice machine, easy to use. Looked for 3/8 tape, then figured out it's actually 9MM! Haven't tried the computer download option yet. However it's an interesting option!

I like that it is easy to carry and use, and can print directly from the computer (even from Word and Excel) battery life is good I dislike that Arabic printing can be done from Word and Excel only and need to adjust margins I am using for home and for some hobbies.

The 280 replaces an earlier Dymo machine and the tags used for electronic labelling are clearer and neater than the earlier style.
