Clarion Mobile Electronics Mcd360 3 Way 6 Channel Electronic Crossover with Subwoofer Control

I bought the exact same brand and model in 2009. That crossover worked flawlessly from 2009 until about two weeks ago. So basically, the thing lasted about 13 years. During that time, I ran 2 amplifiers, two 15 inch subwoofers, and four 6 inch speakers from it. I had a 1000 watt amp pushing my speakers, and a 2600 watt amp pushing my subwoofers. I played my music very loudly for hours at least 5 times a week, and the crossover still lasted all those years. Naturally, when the crossover finally failed, I wanted the exact same model if possible. Imagine my joy when I found the same model on Amazon! I've installed the new replacement and it sounds great! I'm looking forward to another 13 years of driving my neighbors crazy when I come home blasting my music in the middle of the night. Lol. Definitely worth the money and built to last.

I had a american bass unit and was getting really bad frequency out from my speakers, replace the unit with another unit and still the same, turns out my taramps amps were not happy with it, untill i got this clarion and oh man the saound quality and low frequency responses are awesome, great improvement with this, just make sure u paire it with the eqs755 graphic eq, great combo all together, and it looks good too!!!

UPDATE Sep. 2011 This item recently died on me. The first sign was feedback in my system. A slight whine. Then it was causing distortion that I could not pinpoint. At high volume one channel was sending artificially high voltage, pooping my speaker. Then it completely burned out. Not sure if I should by another one or what. Great for a while.... Original This was a great buy. Had trouble finding a X-over that would take 2 channels, Front and SUB and split it into three FRONT, REAR and Leave the SUB independent without the use of a splitter. This item works wonderfully. THD is very low, Low pass cross over works very well. Will cut out bass below my speaker response, (50hz). Base boost is also a plus, especially one that the frequency can be adjusted. Allowing for compensation at the low end of the spectrum where subs start to loose response. Also, the remote level for the bass, a must have. I installed the potentiometer in my dash, now i can raise or lower bass volume at a touch, never having to use the head unit level. Very nice if you listen to different music types. Allows the sub to blend purrrrrfectly with my components. Wonderful buy, wonderful price, would highly recommend.

This device made my subs insane but in 4 channel mode, only my front right speaker was working. In 2 channel mode, all four speakers worked but had very little power and very high distortion. This item was defective and I have started a return process. I was very surprised due to how many good reviews it has. I recieved my replacement. My pioneer has 4 channel, 2v outputs. Similar to before, I have issues in 4 channel mode. With it enabled, the front right and back left speakers do not work. In 2 ch mode, everything works and sounds good. I can not detect a difference in volume. The highs do seem cleaner. The subs...dang...I had to turn the bass control down to 1/2. This decice definitely makes the bass stronger and cleaner. The highs are definitely more crisp and the volume now has a more gradual increase. I have less low end midrange now but everything sounds cleaner.

I purchased this MCD360 to adjust the signals going to a five channel Memphis amp, and it does a great job. There's no unwanted noises just a clean filtered signal going to the amp. The adjustments on the crossover are much better than what's on the amp so for mids and highs I set the amp on full without a filter and use the MCD360. For the sub channel I use the crossover for the low pass filter however the MCD360 does not have a sub sonic filter so I use the amps built in crossover to keep out the very low frequencies. This crossover works great and I would definitely recommend it unless you really need a sub sonic filter.

So I wrote the counterpart to this review with the Pioneer TS-WX1010A 10” and I needed to tie it back to this crossover. I am more than impressed. My music quality is impeccable. I can get the stock deck in a 2013 Honda Pilot EX-L to sound like a high quality unit at Sound Pro! Note there is no separate amp in the EX-L so I left the stock configuration but changed out the door speakers paired with Rockford Fosgate 300 w amp all running from stock head unit to three separate in line RCA converters/reducers then this crossover and it simply blows my mind!
