Nice kit, most efficient way to allocate dollars.
I'm giving this kit five stars because the quality is there and as I pointed out in the caption, it's the best way to spend money on hole saws; buying a kit (unless you have just one project calling for only one or two sizes). Like one reviewer noted, more hole saws don't necessarily fit in the plastic box, but some WILL fit. The "large arbor" saws can be stacked one additional saw inside the other. Also, a couple of the "large arbor" saws can be moved and stacked and then a couple additional of the taller, "small arbor" saws can be placed in the spots vacated by the "large arbor" saws. (I know that sounds complicated, but once you have the box in front of you it will be obvious what I'm talking about.) The plastic box itself is a good one, very sturdy, heavy plastic with a strong latch. My main criticism is that a couple of sizes that you might think should be included are not; for example, the 1" size and the 1 1/4" are not included. The kit goes from 7/8" to 1 1/8" to 1 3/8".....seems a bit (no pun intended) odd. I added a size 1" and a size 1 1/4" from Home Depot's tool department (and they do fit inside with the rest of the kit). As far as performance, I have used a couple of the saws in my drill press and they do drill holes. It's important to not try to drill the hole too quickly, frequently lift the saw out of the hole for a several second "cool down" (don't let it smoke!) and then continue. Also, run your drill at the correct speed. My drill press speed table calls for 500 rpm for most of these saws in soft wood (the speed will vary depending upon what you're drilling). 500 rpm is SLOW and that may be why some people are reporting less than perfect results. But I have found that these saws cut very clean entries with no "tear out". Use a sacrificial backer for the exit, or turn the work upside down for the finish cut; either method will work. One thing that I don't like is that there is a heavy coat of protective white paint on these saws. It makes sense to protect them with paint, but the bad news is that until the paint on the saw teeth wears off, it will melt and make something of a mess of the saw teeth. The heat generated by cutting makes the paint soften, melt and then it embeds fine debris from the cutting. A small soft brass brush is handy to clean up the saws.

Great hole saws.
These are great hole saws. Bought this kit because I was installing hood pins in a brand new car, and really, really didn’t want to screw it up. Since then, I’ve used these countless times. Super sharp, cut fast, little binding if you do your job right. Very easy to install and remove arbors.

Works well, holding up.
We bought a few of these kits for our techs to carry. They have a lot of sizes and are smashed into a small case so they don't take up as much room as the old case layout. At first, I hated this new case. It didn't seem to close well, it was clunky, the bits were stacked on top of each other. I didn't like it. Now. . . I'm used to the case and it stays closed just fine. Have never had one open on its own. I appreciate the compact size, and unstacking bits, it turns out, is no big deal. :-) Even though I still have a kit with the old bigger case, I carry this one because of the space savings in the totes with everything else. The bits themselves have held up for many many holes. Both through wood and metal. I tend to drill slower with my bits so they don't over heat. Also, they do NOT hold up when drilling concrete. Lazy tech should have went to the truck for the masonry bits. . . All of the bits that did NOT core through concrete are doing well. We keep buying these kits as we add techs because they have all the hole sizes we need, are compact, and hold up.

Excellent Value
If you are a professional plumber and bore thousands of the same size holes, it makes sense to get super-heavy-duty hole saws with their own arbors. If you are a DIYer or even a contractor that doesn't bore that many holes, then this kit is a great value. The arbors are cleverly designed to change out quickly and easily. I've used cheaper versions of this tool in the past that required a crescent wrench and a pair of channel locks to get apart. Not so with these. If you define value in terms of quality per money spent, then the value of this set is hard to beat.

Excellent Milwaukee product!
Really good quality bits. Good quality case. The arbors are nicely oiled from the factory. The saws are heavy gauge metal. Exactly what I'd expect from a Milwaukee product. My ONLY issue: The size markings are on the side of the bits. So once you use them a couple times, you can't see it anymore. Of course, most manufacturers do this (I don't know why). The marking should be stamped on the TOP of the bit (and if they wanted to be frickin awesome, put it on the inside as well), and painted so you can see them. I labeled the inside of the case top with the sizes, which helps.
