This wash adds a lot of realism without taking much effort. I mainly use it on military vehicles and armor builds to bring out recessed details, panel lines, bolts, welds, and textured surfaces. It settles into the low spots nicely and gives the model that used, dirty look instead of looking like it just rolled out of the factory. The Oiled Earth color is a good middle ground. It works well for grime, road dirt, and general weathering without being so dark that it overpowers the paint underneath. I like applying it over a gloss coat, letting it flow into the details, and then wiping away the excess. It leaves just enough behind to make the details stand out without looking overdone. The consistency is ready to use straight from the bottle, so I haven't had to thin it very often. It brushes on smoothly, dries evenly, and it's easy to build up the effect with multiple light applications if I want a dirtier finish. A little also goes a long way, so the bottle lasts much longer than I expected. I've also used it on aircraft landing gear, wheel wells, engines, and other mechanical details where I wanted a little extra depth. It's one of those products that doesn't scream for attention, but once you use it, your finished models end up looking noticeably more realistic.

This is perfect for a GrimDark kind of vibe in my space wolves or to put on some vehicles. It behaves perfectly on armor, metal, oxid, etc.

This wash is very nice. It looks great brushed over weapons & armor. I'm going to save the little bit I have left for that. I bought it to spray terrain and that looks great too. I used a wet qtip to rub off the flat areas after I sprayed and it came off easy. This wash is extremely subtle and easy to work with. I gave it a 4 because for just over an ounce for $9 it is too expensive. I'll look for something else to spray terrain, it goes quick.

This item is worth it. It really makes the model I'm working on look like it's rusty. The only thing is it takes extra coats.
