Great buy!
Great quality and highly recommended. It does move around a bit, but I think that is normal. We bought a mat to help stabilize it, so we will see how that works, but it is definitely not a deal breaker. The bag is well padded. We decided to fill it with water instead of sand or foam.

Great Quality and Sturdy...
I bought this bag for my 10 year old son. This is my second purchase of this same model bag as the first one flooded during hurricane Harvey. As a martial arts instructor myself, I prefer the Powerline model because it is a larger size than the original Wavemaster. This way it will handle stronger punches and kicks as my son develops his skills. The bag itself seems durable and should handle all the abuse without any rips. The base is large and can be filled with sand or water. I filled it with only four 50lbs of sand bags, and was enough to keep it in place for my son. It can be filled with more sand for heavier placement. A nice feature is the ability to adjust the height of the bag as needed. I'm a martial arts instructor myself and I recommend this bag to anyone looking for a sturdy punching bag made with great quality and priced right.

Solid punching and kicking bag
Sturdy and good for kicking Tae be and punching . Well designed and easy to move around . Use 100 lb of play ground sound from Home Depot , put it in is a bit of pain but overall great bag for punching and kicking .

Quality product
Great buy. Added to my exercise room for kickboxing. Sturdy, but it does move across the room even with the base files with pepbbles/rocks. Not a big deal. Probably need to purchase the mats to go underneath as it is currently on just the carpet. Easy to assemble, and easy to adjust the height so multiple family members can use it. Quality is excellent and I can see it will last a while. I use it 4 days/week. Good amount of padding. Some spring back when you punch/kick it. Good purchase.

Almost perfect.
Great hitting surface but it will move for a medium height, heavy weight hitter. it'll need plenty of room and then you'll need to reposition it. I used 250lbs of medium grade sand(5x50lb bags) and a quickfill oil funnel to get it in the tiny filling hole. I hit pretty hard and I get about 20-30 good hard hits plus a lot of jabs before i have to reset it. Optimally, if you have enough room to circle around(which I do not) and hit it back the other way, it's the perfect bag. I'm using CAP EVA foam puzzle flooring, which seems to promote sliding, and I'm going to have to swap that out for some stickier vulcanized rubber flooring. But if you're gonna fill this with sand, an oversized quick-fill funnel is a must to maintain your sanity and not have more sand outside than inside.

Great product overall
I got this a few months ago and I have enjoyed it since. It is worth it to fill up with sand for sure the extra weight to keep it from sliding as much and to prevent leaks. The height adjustment is nice and it is easy to move around the room to store.

Wide and well-padded.
My Wavemaster arrived early and in perfect condition. Because of its girth, it doesn't tip over as easily as the smaller models, and, if you mix in a little dense sand with the water, it won't slide as much, either. You could certainly fill it with sand or with stones only, but be careful not to exceed the weight capacity specified in the owner's manual (apart from making it difficult and dangerous to roll the Wavemaster on the edge of its base or to un-fill the base later, this could warp the plastic and cause other damage). As others have reported, the padding seems a little suspect; you can already tell where I've been aiming my sharpest punches and kicks because the padding has started to sag a little bit in those spots. However, it doesn't feel like those spots are going to fray or get too thin to strike any time soon. If anything, I would say that the padding is too forgiving... my bare knuckles feel so pampered that I've resorted to doing knuckle pushups on a hardwood floor as a warm-up exercise before practicing on the Wavemaster. I should add, on a related note, that I bought this Wavemaster to whip myself back into shape and re-teach myself the fundamentals; I would not recommend it for beginners or for advanced users trying to sharpen their skills because it is just way too accommodating. You barely have to aim to make a clean strike and barely need to adjust your stance or the position of your fingers and toes at all to avoid injury.

The Best Stress Relief EVER!!!
To start things off I must specify that I am not a fighter by any stretch of the imagination, I've never before trained in boxing, MMA or any other similar sport. But with that being said, I love this thing, it is proving to be a fantastic investment. It is a great work out and a fantastic way to let out that built up frustration. Since I've started working with it I have found that my stress levels have dropped significantly and it has put me in a all around better mood. After a great deal of comparison I am very pleased that I paid more and went with the Powerline series. If you were just going to use the bag for punching and want to save a few dollars you could consider going with the original but if you feel like you are ever going to want to throw some kicks into the mix you will greatly appreciate the extra padding of the Powerline. The service provided by the folks at "KarateJoe's" has been great. With regular updates of the transaction, they seem to truly care about distributing quality products with excellent customer service. (Sorry that sounds like crappy commercial dialogue, but it's true.) A note to all those who are like me and are new to this genre of training / exercise. I truly feel that taking some kind of class could be hugely beneficial, if not at the very least check out some youtube videos. You should also make sure you have the proper protective equipment meaning hand wraps and bag gloves. Otherwise I feel you could do some real damage to your wrists. I have personally purchased the actual hand wraps, they provide great support, but they are a hassle to get on and off, especially if I'm in a bad mood and just really want to beat the crap out of the bag. Because of this I would look into the glove style hand wraps instead, they seem to be a lot quicker to take on and off while still providing support. Even though they tend to be a few dollars more I think the time you'll save would be more than worth it. All in all if you are on the fence about buying this take the leap and do it, you won't regret it.

good stuff
It's good quality. Only problem is to fill up water is not good enough to keep it sturdy. When I punch and kick, it keeps moving. Probably fill up with sands would solve that problem though. Still, I like this punching bag.

Get the Powerline rather than the Original
Way better than the Original. The Original has less foam and mine did not last long (12 months heavy use). The Powerline has way more padding.
