Great value, and easy to install. Fixed my engine light, and works.
Worked perfectly, and resolved my check engine light. Nice quality unit and it's been working for a year now. Was a great value, much cheaper here than at our local retail auto stores.

Works right, notes added for replacing the lower sensor (sensor is the same for both upper and lower).
This sensor has been well reviewed so I won't get too much into that but try to provide some helpful info instead. The check engine light was periodically coming on in my daughters 2005 honda accord (4Cyl engine). The code was for a malfunction in the ETC (electronic temperature control) sensor. Honda has two although this sensor is a replacement for either. There is an upper sensor close to the engine. That one feeds the temperature gauge in the car. If your temp gauge is working fine then that one should be ok. The other one is located in the lower right side (facing the front of the car) of the radiator. This one controls the cooling fan. That's the one that commonly goes bad due to corrosion. To get to that you need to use a flathead screwdriver and pop out about 8 pushpins (easy). Then remove one 10mm screw on the right side facing the car, left if your sitting in the drivers seat). At that point you can move the lower plastic cover out of the way enough to get to the sensor. Some videos i saw had you draining the radiator. I was planning to do that but with the engine cold and radiator cap intact the sensor can be removed with a very minimal loss of coolant (less than a cup). Its key to remove the sensor and install the new one immediately to not lose too much coolant. It's a slow drain but better to just have the new one ready. Anyway after putting the new one in (the old one comes out easy but you need a deep socket to remove it), I used CRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner to spray inside the plug on connector to clean it. After that give the sensor and connector a blast of compressed air to remove any moisture. Connect the harness back and plastic cover pushpins and the one bolt and your good. Afterwards let the car idle for a while to make sure the cooling fan kicks on. For me this took about 12 minutes and it will run just long enough to cool the engine down lower, at that point you know the sensor is working. Overall this is a very easy replacement which really should not take more than 10 to 15 minutes. I had the car up on ramps so it gave plenty of space to work. As for the sensor, it worked as expected and seems to be good value.

As good as OEM
Purchased for 2005 Honda Accord EX. Arrived New, and seems to be working just fine. It took a little bit of prep work to access and install. You might want to consider changing the coolant while you are at it...since it will require draining the fluid from the radiator. Make sure to check your sensor cable connector for corrosion while you are down there too!

Easy to install, but you will need a 17mm drive deep socket
I bought this product after my 2004 honda civic lx started having issues with the temperature gauge (it's located on your dash so it can tell you how hot or cold your engine is), which kept moving between warm and cold while driving. I took my car to Auto Zone after the check engine light came on to use their diagnostic machine and it gave me the error code of P0128, which could mean a couple of different things. At first, I changed the thermostat as that is a common issue when the temperature gauge fluctuates, but that didn't fix the problem. From there I decided to order this Beck Arnley Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Don't confuse this with the coolant fan sensor that's near the thermostat. Using a 17mm drive (deep socket), I was easily able to remove the old sensor (disconnect the cable that connected to it first). Removing this sensor does not require emptying your coolant (again, don't confuse this sensor with the coolant fan sensor). When installing the new ECT sensor, use your hands and when you can't tighten it anymore, use the deep socket to tighten it a bit more. Then reconnect the cable and turn on your engine. Wait a few minutes and the temperature gauge should slowly start to move from cold to warm. The technician at Auto Zone told me that once the new sensor was installed, it would take some driving (at least 60 miles or so) before the check engine light clears on its on.
