Art of Darksiders II (Hardcover): Volume 2

I may have not played this game, but the first i have, and from just looking at the cover art work, is great but the pages and pages of detail are amazing each page gets better and better. its a great book for inspiration. and if you like a "dark " style of drawing this is a book to add to your collection

If you like Joe Madureira's style of art and can't get enough of it, then this item is for you! An excellent example of from sketch to finish results are showcased in this book. Gaming enthusiasts, comic fans and basically anybody that admires true raw skill and talent with pencil that is then converted to game play will adore this book. Enormous amounts of artwork to be looked at and drooled over with loving admiration. Joe Mad! shows us here why he is one of the most loved artists in the comic and gaming industry today. A must have.

The best video art book you can buy. If you love concept art and skecths you will love this book, so many weapons/ characters / armour designs. I can not rate this book high enough.

Absolutely brilliant. Much like the art from the first game it's full of brilliant concepts and ideas and with almost no text is packed full of images.

fast shipping and excellent condition item. smooth transaction. Although the spine of the book seems very weak, some of the pages have already come away from their bindings. This was the same with The art of Darksiders 1. This is entirely my fault tho for openning the book to much.

Joe Madureira the Creative Studio Director and team has done it again by presenting us with an amazing collection of video game art. Amazon listed the second volume wrongly at 200 pages. It's 224 pages thick, which is thinner than the first artbook The Art of Darksiders. Anyway, The Art of Darksiders 2 art book is still very thick! An astonishing amount of concept art fills the pages. There are character designs, environment concepts, weapons, enemies and 3D renders. And all come with painted version and the sketches. That's a lot to see. There's an incredible amount of variety and detail for all the artwork featured. Towards the end, there's commentary on the style guide and a brief explanation on how they paint over 3D models. The 3D renders are gorgeous but printed a bit small at less than a quarter size for each character. They are considered small only because there's so much detail that you want a larger picture to look at them. The binding has improved. But with a book this thick, I would still be careful. At least, I no longer have the fear of its pages falling out. It's definitely a huge improvement over the the atrocious binding of the first artbook. By they way, the May 2011 second printing of the first artbook has improved the binding also. This is an awesome artbook with a remarkable amount of great art. Highly recommended. Como con "The art of darksiders 1" tenerlo en las manos se siente brutal. Un libro muy bien hecho con un diseño cuidadísimo, es el arte de Darksiders y eso ya debería bastar para que sea interesante. Muy recomendado.

Great insight into developers designs

Abgesehen von der Qualtität der Bindung ein wirklich schönes und vor allem umfangreiches Artbook. Das Produkt erhielt trotz des Mankos der Bindung von mir die volle Anzahl Sterne, da man bei dem Preis und dem Umfang m.E. damit Leben können sollte. Eine qualitativ hochwertigere Bindung hätte das Buch - auch aufgrung der ziemlich spezifischen Thematik - sicherlich massiv verteuert.

Primo artbook che prendo per una serie di giochi che ho amato, ma soprattutto per i disegni di Madureira, lo seguo anche nel mondo dei fumetti ed è un artista stupendo!!! Sullo scaffale di ogni gamer e di ogni appassionato di fumetti!!!
