This stuff is the best for awful wounds that need time to heal slowly. I have used it when our horse kicked through a metal pole barn wall and nearly took her hoof off. With the help of this lotion, it healed perfectly. My boarders horse recently cut her leg and abraded most of the hair off on her lower rear cannon bone. Leg wounds are the worst to heal successfully in a horse because it heals too quickly and makes proud flesh. Schreiners Lotion allows the wound to heal slowly and I have never had proud flesh develop. Check the website to see the testimonials and photos. This stuff is unbelievable. It does sting some sensitive horses but it only bothers them for a quick few seconds. It is worth every penny! It could save your horse from a nasty scar.

I learned of this product from my boss, who’s a dog breeder. When my dog recently started scratching and overnight had open sores, she gave me the sample size until my Amazon order came in. After grooming my dog and applying the solution she quit itching those spots. However I am applying this twice a day as directed. My pup seems less stressed as well. My Newfoundland is obsessive compulsive when it comes to her skin. If she gets a scrape or a bite, it becomes a hotspot in a flash. This stuff is a miracle healer. WARNING: It is alcohol based, so it does sting on open sores. (so did the topical my vet prescribed) But, after a hotspot became MRSA, I gave up on the vet's steroid and remembered the success I had years ago with this for horses. The hotspots dry out and scab over in 2 days, and within a week, fall off and healthy skin is left. I have used it on myself (NO THEY DON'T APPROVE IT FOR PEOPLE) just to see how bad it stings. It is painful for about 10 seconds, and then it settles. (I also notice that it stops all itching) There is nothing quite like this stuff for healing!

I love schrieners hebal solution. I usa it on all the animals and on my own booboos... It stops a nerve itch in a few seconds. Some wonder if it stings, but it does not sting as much as give a warm feeling of healing. Great stuff. Hewn using it for over 20 years. I suggest keeping away from eyes, nose or mouth.

I use this product on animals for first aid. It works very well! Follow the product's instructions and make this a part of your first aid kit. One bottle will last a long time. I prefer to buy a larger bottle and then "transfer" (using a funnel) the product into smaller bottles so I can have one in several locations when the need arises. Be aware that this does contain alcohol, so it will burn and cause the animal some initial discomfort - ensure you are safe and strategically positioned before applying (example, don't stand in the kick zone). It also has a very strong smell, so use it in a well ventilated area whenever possible, because you'll cough a few times as soon as the smell gets to your nose / brain (it'll be delayed by a few seconds, but powerful). I have also used this for me a couple of times when it was the only thing I had available quickly - it worked nicely there too, and with this product, and other first aid supplies & knowledge, my animals (and myself when I've used it for me in a crisis) have minimized the vet visits necessary. This product does a very nice job in my experience! (But again, follow instructions, and be wise about whether your animal (or yourself) needs to see the vet (or doctor)). And remember, the product burns and stings when applied - so STAND OUT OF THE KICK ZONE... :)

This product is truly amazing. Will help to heal animal and human skin irritations. Used on yeast on dogs, perpetual scratching for a dog, it healed and she stopped. Minor skin irritations on humans, works like magic. All natural.

I purchased this after reading a recommendation on a veterinarian website. This is used for horses, dogs and other animals as pretty much a cure-all for skin issues/injuries. My dog has had EXTREME dry skin for the past year. He is an 11 and-a-half year old lab mix and we live in the desert. He also hates baths, so soaking or using a moisturizing conditioner is out. It just stresses him way too much and is not worth it. We use a water-free bath and then spray him down with this solution. He seems to have almost immediate relief and is able to rest/nap afterwards. Unfortunately, it did not "cure" his itchy issue, but it has helped him to be comfortable, and after spending hundreds on diet additives, vet visits and forcing him to endure other treatments, this has been the best solution so far. IMPORTANT NOTE: One of the ingredients is cayenne pepper. It is very small, but when I sprayed it on him in his room it immediately caught in my throat/lungs. It did NOT affect our dog in the same way, but he also didn't attempt to lick the spray as he had with others, so maybe he knew better. I would recommend using this outdoors (no wind) and not at all for folks with asthma, COPD or other breathing/respiratory issues.

This product is phenomenal! Works better than antibiotics! I have used this for years. It's too bad you can't get it anymore as it appears to have been bought and buried or it's censored in Canada.
