This is a small light bar. If you need a small light bar, they're not too easy to find, as the others which may seem similar might also be quite larger. I have this mounted under a one-inch lip on my desk and it fits in there just perfectly. Similar light bars may have battery power; this one doesn't, which is one reason it is nice and thin. You also can change the brightness but not the temperature, which is fine. Great solution for a crowded space where I wanted the light but I wanted the light bar to be invisible and not take up any horizontal space. Recommended for this kind of use!

Great light for cabinet work with selves etc.

I bought several of these in mid-2021. They were easy to install, touch activation worked well, and the lighting was exactly what I wanted (bright, but "warm" white as I bought the 3000k model). Fast-forward to late 2022, and one of them stopped working. I contacted the seller, provided proof of purchase and some photos, and *bam* they sent me a replacement right away. Good support! I see from the listing, and the one I just received, there have been some changes in the newest model. First, the touch activation used to be anywhere on the metal case. The new model only activates when touched in a specific location of the plastic diffuser. That means you can now mount them on a metal surface, which was problematic with the old version. But now, even when mounted on wood, you have to touch them in a specific place -- which can be difficult if mounted underneath a cabinet or overhang, where you can't see exactly where to touch them. So, this is a good change if you want to mount them on metal, but a bit of a disadvantage in most other cases. Second, the default state when power is applied is "ON" rather than "OFF" as it used to be. This is great if you want to plug the lights into a switched outlet and use the switch to turn them on -- the old model would not come on until touched, but this one comes on when power is applied. However, that can also be a disadvantage in some situations. For example, I have one mounted on my headboard and the new model now lights up whenever we have a brief (even a few seconds) power outage at night -- whereas the old version stayed off and didn't wake me up. So, whether these changes in the "new" model are an improvement or not depends on how you want to mount it and how you want to activate it. It is better for some, but worse for others. All in all, still a great value -- and great support from the seller.

UPDATE: the company reached out with suggestions. The light can be plugged in at both end but the touch control only works if plugged into the end “marked” input - very hard to see unless you know it’s there. But now the light works perfectly. I’ve changed by rating to 5 AND am keeping the replacement. Outside of needing clearer direction, the lights are exactly what I hoped for. light has everything I wanted but it DOES NOT TURN off and in by touch. The size is good, the brightness is good but unless you want to plug and unplug to turn it off and on, don’t order. When my first one didn’t work correctly, I contacted Amazon and they sent another. Second works just the same. I’m debating if I should send both back. The light is so perfect over my desk, and I am easily within reach of the plug, but if just irritates me when things are not what’s advertised. Unfortunately there are multiple areas in our 5th wheel where I hoped to use these (over the desk was not top of the list) and I definitely will not order more.

I bought one of these for my kitchen first for under the counter. I loved it so much. I now put one in the bathroom underneath the over the toilet rack which is metal they give just enough light without being too bright and you can see really well, very happy with them. Happy with the price. It’s a good item. I’m very glad I bought them. However, FYI the one in the bathroom on the metal rack didn’t stick, but I had heavy duty, double-sided tape and it hasn’t moved since I put it up there, but the one under the wood cabinet in the kitchen stayed on well I didn’t have to use the double sided tape

I bought two of these to try. Wow, they were perfect for what I needed (easy to install, perfect brightness, easy to use), so I ordered two more. That is where the trouble began. One of the second order of two didn't work. So it went back for a REPLACEMENT. I loved these enough to want a replacement instead of a refund. Well, guess what? The replacement didn't work either! So, now I had to send the replacement back for a replacement (yes, I loved them that much to give them the benefit of the doubt), but was unable to do so - I was only able to return the replacement for a refund. So, I packed up the replacement-for-the-replacement. UPS picked it up and left me a receipt. It arrived back to Amazon within days. I waited. No refund. No refund. No refund. So I finally did an online chat with an Amazon CSR about it and was told a refund was issued and I would get an email in 3-5 days letting me know I had received it. Well, guess what? No email and nowhere can I find the refund. I'm still trying to get a refund for the bad replacement of my replacement. These are great lights, don't get me wrong, but if you get a bad one, I hope your luck is better than mine at getting a working replacement or a refund.

I just needed a 12" long light for the garage workbench. Works great so far and I like the touch on/off switch. I used black Velcro to attach. Didn't want the white double sided tape showing thru on my black cabinets.

These were the perfect solution for some tall glass tower display cases that didn't come with lighting.

Needed to move closer than wanted. Thought it would illuminate the corner of my countertop, but not bright enough, so I had to put it directly above where I prep my food. Works great, would have been nice to have some cable management pieces for under the cupboards.

Good product. Shipping box was completely over sized for the item.
