Read this before you use these!!!
**Just a quick update. 5 successful outings with these broadheads! Best broadheads I've used so far. Just be sure to discard the pre-installed bands and replace them with fresh ones! ** Original review... Overall, I really like these broadheads. Unfortunately for me, they came with a bit of a learning curve. I heard a lot of good things about swhacker and decided to try some of their "crossbow broadheads". Three reasonably priced broadheads with a practice head, perfect! I put them on my arrows and went out in the field. Took a shot at a nice 8 pt. I totally missed from about 25 yards. If you shoot a crossbow you'll know that, a total miss at 25 yards is nearly impossible. So now I'm hunting down the malfunction. A few shots onto my target and I see everything is still sighted in. So it's either me, or the new Swhackers. After spending some time on their FAQ page, here is what I discovered. The oil on the blades used to keep them clean reacts with the bands that holds the blades closed. Swhacker recommended discarding the pre installed band with a new one. I also learned that if you're using a high speed crossbow (400+fps), they recommend using two bands instead of one. WTF Swhacker? Don't you think this should be mentioned in the instructions in or on the packaging?? So my most likely conclusion is that the blades opened in flight causing the miss. I checked the other broadhead that came with a pre installed band and the band snapped while I was examining it. In hindsight, it's a good thing I totally missed and didn't just injure that animal. So after my experience/research/learning curve, I've been using two bands to hold the blades closed. So far, so good. Now the broadheads fly like field points and I have 100% confidence in them. Two shots since fixing the problem and both right on the money. Please Swhacker, put a little note inside the package about the bands. It will save someone a lot of frustration. Your broadheads are awesome, shouldn't your instructions be as good?

Deadly Mechanical Broadhead
They work great on the bolts, that I use in my crossbow. Fly true and with excellent penetration Hit a deer at 30 years, bolt went in and out and fifty yards beyond where she was standing. Big exit hole. Everyone has their personal preference, but if you want to try a different mechanical broadhead, Swhackers are really good.

Pin point accuracy
These heads fly amazing from my ravin r-10. Dead on at any range. Never had a deer go more than 50 yards with them and never have I had one fail.

Great reusable broadhead, but it does not fly like a field tip
Great broadhead, but does not fly like a field tip and the practice field tip. for me, the practice field tip flys totally different than the actual broadhead (at 30 yards off at least 2 inches). Solution: take an actual broadhead, put a very small amount of superglue on the blades so they do not open, and sight your bow in using this actual broadhead as your practice tip.

Deadly
These are accurate and do a great job. I made the switch from rage to these because of the simple design. I dont know why others are saying the package says comes with replacement blades. It says replacement bands which are in the package!

Got a 3 pack. . First buck shot at 20yrds with a crossbow. Thru the heart and jammed hard in opposite shoulder as it was quartering away. Blood trail a blind man could follow and done in 20 yards. 2nd buck was 72yrds with crossbow again! Shot A bit low bit with 4 inch cut I just got bottom of heart and clean exit low brisket opposite side he made about 40yrds open field and expired. Very pleased so far...3rd arrow coming up! Both good bucks at 200 plus lbs

I like how easily the broad heads thread onto my arrow shafts but find the threads loosens easily on the shaft. The replacement bands work great to reset the mechanical heads. Clean kills. Does the job!
