Just buy it.
I almost didn't buy the Evolution Power Tools R185CCS because the price seemed too low. I figured I wouldn't use a metal-cutting circular saw often enough to justify spending more, so I took a chance on this one. I'm glad I did. When I opened the box, I was greeted by that familiar "Chinesium" smell we've all experienced with some imported tools. My expectations weren't exactly high. Then I pulled the saw out. Honestly, I had to look for the "Made in China" sticker because I couldn't believe what I was holding. One of the easiest ways to spot a cheaply made power tool is the power cord. Most bargain tools come with a short, thin cord that's frustrating to use. Not this one. Evolution put a long, beefy, heavy-gauge cord on it, and right away it gave the impression that someone actually cared about the product. A minute later, I had the blade installed, the chip collection port hooked up, and I was ready to go. Its first job? Cutting a 250-gallon steel oil tank in half. It literally (and I mean literally) took me longer to mark the cut than it did to make it. This saw went through that tank like it was butter. The cut was clean, fast, and surprisingly effortless. I just stood there thinking, "Where has this thing been all my life?" Now, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but the downsides aren't really the saw's fault. They're just the reality of cutting metal with a circular saw. Metal chips go EVERYWHERE. Do yourself a favor and don't treat this like cutting wood. Gloves are mandatory. Safety glasses are mandatory. I'd go a step further and say a full face shield is an absolute must because those hot chips fly in every direction. Long sleeves are also a very good idea unless you enjoy getting peppered with tiny pieces of hot metal. For the money, this saw absolutely exceeded my expectations. I expected "good enough" and instead got a tool that performs like it costs significantly more. If you're on the fence because the price seems too good to be true, stop overthinking it. Just buy it.

Very impressed.
Saw some mixed reviews, so was a little hesitant to make this purchase. Glad I did, fit and finish look alright, price was good at $115. First cut was through 1-1/4" mild steel solid round stock. Like a hot knife through butter even with the multi-purpose blade that came in the kit. A cut through that material on the abrasive chop saw was taking about 5 minutes or more and added a lot of heat to the metal (fully blued for about 3/16"). This saw took less than 30 seconds, with a much cleaner, nicer cut and I was able to pick-up the metal immediately after cutting through.

Impressive!
Extremely impressed. I’ve been using this saw to cut beveled plates for a welding school and it’s better than using a $6,000 band saw or oxy fuel cutting torch!

The blade on these of course crap out quickly so i would buy a quality blade at the same time. Very happy with the saw

For the quality you are getting, it is a steal at this price.
I don't normally write reviews, but I must say this is an exceptionally high quality circular saw. I have bought and returned several other higher priced circular saws from the well known name brands because the quality simply wasn't there. Yes, I am very picky with my tools. With this circular saw, all pivots/hinges are rock solid when locked/fastened. This allows for the base to stay firmly with respect to the blade while cutting. High quality bearings with tight tolerance make the blade to stays in one place and does not wobble around (you would be surprised how many crappy circular saws out there have this problem). The result you get is a clean cut each and every time. Don't pay big money for a circular saw, get this one.

Throws out a lot of metal.
I use it to cut 1/8" carbon Steel plate it cuts very well but you need to wear safety glasses and a face shield the metal that fly during cutting is very hot it will stick to light weight shirts. I put a heavy duty rain coat on plus gloves. All that said the saw makes good cuts

Buen precio // Buena potencia de corte
Recomendable por su hoja de multimaterial y bastante potencia adecuada para DIY de carpinteria y sobre todo ya que la uso para reciclar pallet los cuales tienen bastante clavos. Recomendable

Multi purpose skill saw
I originally borrowed this saw from my cousin to cut some steel roofing and was so impressed that I had to buy one for myself! I've used it extensively to install aluminum railing, siding, basement renovations and have found this to be the most amazing multi purpose cutting tool I have. It's cuts so smoothly and throws no sparks when cutting through metal which is quite a nice safety feature. I cant say enough good things about this amazing tool! Great value for the money.

Good for wood
The saw itself is great ... the blades on the other hand are garbage!. I bought this saw for cutting aluminum.. And I also bought the evolution steel specific blade. The multi purpose blade made about 8 cuts before ejecting a tooth and loseing all cutting ability... The steel specific blade ... almost made 2 cuts through 1/8" x 36"w street grating.. had to use zip cut to finish the job. We bought the Diablo aluminum blade ... 50 plus cuts and counting .. I've yet to try Diablo steel demon blade..
