Will this game play on a Nintendo 2DS.

Of course the 2ds plays 3ds games

i'm not an expert in DS's but I'm in Australia and it wasn't compatible with my son's 3DS XL. Only works for USA consoles.

It is a 2D platformer, but you can slide your 3D up on the 3DS and get added depth in your backgrounds.

can this game be played on a regular ds? and if so, is it the same as if it were in a 3ds? also, how different is it from reg mario bros on a ds?

I am no expert with ds'... But I have been told that 3ds games only work on 3ds consoles. But 2ds games work on a 3ds but only in 2D. My son said Mario 2 is much better than the other. Don't know why!?
