I have a 10 gallon AIO and got this guy to clean the algee build up on the sides of the aquarium and it works perfectly. It gets the really tiny harder spots with the blade and everything else with the scrubber. This is like the perfect size for a 10 gallon tank and super easy to use. I don't leave it in the tank because salt water is just bad for stuff so be smart and just rinse off with water and take out after use. Replacement blades are kinda expensive but whatever, tank maintenance costs money, keeping a reef tank is a hobby that has its expenses, there really not like that expensive. This little guy works extremly well super happy with it. My tank is very clean and looks amazing and the fish are happy, everyone is impressed with how the tank looks after using this.

Works great even on tough algae. Will be getting one for every tank we have. Well worth the money.

This thing cleans anything with one swipe. Even if it's caked on for some time. 10/10 must buy, even worked with my curved tank.

Be very careful when cleaning near the gravel line. This little scraper/ scrubber has got to be the best product on the market for cleaning fish tank glass without getting your hands wet and with just one tool. However, I scratched my glass tank with this, I won’t say it was 100% the metal blade and could have been gravel. But I’ve heard that others say the metal can do that. I just couldn’t bring myself to return it as it works so well. I’ve tried gluing plastic home made slivers onto the blade to make my own plastic scraper and it works well, but it keeps falling off after scraping the tank a time or two, even when scoring the plastic and metal before gluing. I’ve decided to just use the soft side more often and be super careful with the metal blade only using it when necessary. I’m just surprised that flipper doesn’t make plastic blades for this product, it’s the only size that doesn’t get the plastic blade option. I may try 3d printing my own blades but I just don’t have the time to draw that up currently. Overall excellent design, and would be perfect if it had plastic blade options, yes even for glass tanks. Update: 2 months later I have since figured out that the scrubber was definitely responsible for scratching the glass as it traps sand. I don’t think the blade has caused any damage. Be careful with the scrubber side. I would only use the scraper for the bottom 1/2-1” of the glass near the sanded. Also, I have 1/4” glass and after a week the scraper wouldn’t remove a lot of the algae that had built up. It simply comes down to the magnet not being strong enough despite other peoples comments of these being too strong and that causing the blade to scratch glass. These blades if designed properly (round edges, which this has) don’t scratch intact glass if used properly. I bought the long tunze care magnet which has incredibly strong magnets. Enough to actually hurt you or break glass if not handled with care. Let me tell you, this magnet works wonders, unlike the square edged blade on this one theirs is slightly sharp and it works very well. Overall it’s a good product but I’d recommend getting a larger size than you need (for the added strength). Be very careful with the scrubber side. It’s a great day to day cleaner, but get a tunze care long magnet for getting the deep cleanings done. Those things push harder that most humans can maintain at an arms length for any time at all. I’ll never have to scrape the majority of my tank glass by hand again. They’re $50 on here btw.

This arrived today, and I’ve already used it. Took all of maybe 15 min to scrape the algae off glass. All I can say is WOW, why it took me so long to get this product, I’ll never know. Our aquarium has been steadily getting harder and harder to see through since our algae eaters died. I started using Algaefix, but don’t really like putting chemicals in the fishes water. A little bit of scraping and now the glass is crystal clear. So easy to use.

I've had aquariums for 20+ years, and these are one of my favorite product developments over that time. My only complaint is that the Nano version of the Flipper has a little bit of difficulty getting off all the tough, coralline algae, since the magnet is smaller and it doesn't press quite as firmly to the glass as the standard size does. The standard one takes everything off my 14 gallon Nano tank with no trouble, so I would recommend that size unless you have a truly itsy bitsy aquarium (under 5 gallons). Compared to the magnet cleaners without blades, these are waaaay less prone to damaging your aquarium. Most people cause scratches by getting sand or gravel caught under the cleaning surface of the other style of algae scraper and rubbing it around without realizing, but other than the cleaning blade and two small plastic "buttons" on this, most of this device doesn't even touch the interior glass, so it's harder to get gritty pieces lodged against the glass while you're cleaning. Just be gentle when scraping near corners to avoid damaging the glass or silicone. (It's harder to scratch the glass with these, but it's possible if you go around a curved edge or a corner too aggressively. It is metal, after all.) I know a lot of people who just keep this stored in their tanks for convenience, but the blades will last longer if you keep them clean and dry. This is especially important if you have saltwater tanks, since even stainless steel eventually corrodes when exposed to saltwater for long periods. If you do leave it in your tank, I'd suggested positioning it high enough that the blade rests above the surface of the water. You will have to change the blades from time to time, but the replacements are reasonably priced, and they're easy to switch out.

Amazing, 100 stars. Seriously, this thing does in 1 minute what my regular nano magnetic scraper couldn't do in an hour. I can not sing high enough praise for this thing. This has saved me many hours and frustration and I am in awe. I feel unworthy to be in the presence of such greatness.

used it now for a month or so and i had a tank left empty with water in had algae stuck on this little scraper managed to remove every bit of it and with out damaging the glass people you need this in your life

This is the best algae remover! I have 2 reef tanks currently and have used many sponge scrubbers and magnet scrubbers. This one is awesome! A must have. 1 side has a soft fabric to remove standard daily algae buildup from the glass. When the mag is flipped, which can be done without removal from tank, the other side employs the blade to scrape off hard algaes. This algae scrapper easily removes coralline algae and other hard algae deposits. I have had mine for 7 mnths without having to replace the blade. Update 2020 I still own this scrubber and it still works great. I have only replaced the blade 2 times in yrs, the felt side is still like new and has never been replaced. Well worth the cost.
