The Tale of Peter Rabbit

I purchased this for my 6 month olds Easter basket, I always liked it as a kid and wanted him to have one. This is a board book and a short version of the original. I’m sure my 6 month old would not sit through an entire reading of the original lol. Cute book!

My baby loves the illustrations and it's a simple bedtime story.

I read this book as a kid and I wanted to gift it to my niece. I was especially happy to know that it came in a board book. I was able to get it for her and her little sisters can’t rip it up.

This was a baby shower gift. The book was very small, and it was the the entire Peter Rabbit Story I remember. You can just tell the story didn’t flow and parts were left out …….disappointed!

After reading the reviews, I am so thankful I purchased the board book for my 2-1/2 year old grandson. He just loves this book which surprised me. He loves the illustrations and the simple short story. While reading it to him today, he wanted me to stay on two of the pages and wouldn't let me read further until had his fill of looking at the pictures. Then he proceeded to run around the house pretending to chase Peter. The pages are beautiful and vibrant and the story a classic. There's one part in the story I didn't like and it concerned my grandson, as well. When Mr. McGregor was chasing Peter and the picture shows his foot raised up right behind Peter; it looks like he's trying to kick Peter. That upset my grandson and I had to explain, a few times, that he was just running close behind and not trying to kick him. Something to keep in mind.

The story line just kind of cuts off and ends randomly.

I was looking for a hard board Peter Rabbit book to give as a gift (along with a stuffed Peter Rabbit, and Peter Rabbit mini album I made). This will be a baby shower gift and perfect for the parents to read to the child as it get's a little older. I read a few reviws that complained about about it not being a word for word complete story, but no hard board books are.....they are aimed at toddlers. So if you are looking for the original version......word for word and lengthy......this is not it. If you are looking for a cute hard board book to introduce a toddler or young reader to the tales of Peter Rabbit story, then this is perfect.

Whilst I'm a fan of all things Peter Rabbit I was upset to see that this book is a lot smaller than I imagined it would be, however the quality is good & I've kept it to go towards my soon to be born 2nd grandson's birth gift.

120 years (1902-2022) since the first publication of the Tale of Peter Rabbit. A must for Beatrix Potter fans, a beautiful collectors book. Especially lovely as a gift for a new baby born this year or a child’s birthday (or adult birthday if a fan like me) Who doesn’t love Peter Rabbit ? 🐇

Just like I rember some 65 years later sa told to me by my mum when I was just a small boy

I received my The Tale of Peter Rabbit today (13th of June). I am very pleased with my putchase, my book is exactly as described by the seller (nickgbooks) I would definitely recommend this seller to other Amazon buyers

I was disappointed its not the same words as the original. My little boy loves Peter rabbit and I bought this so he can play with it and I can keep the version from the big set nice for bedtime reading but he’s not impressed the words are different.
