Great quality
I love it. I use it to record and sleep. I also like to take it to the beach and record the sound with the waves. Great value, it's long but easy to tuck away. It's very calming. I don't have small children but I'm sure they'll love it too

Extremely great value for the money! I was pleasantly surprised at the size. The sound delightful! After reading negative comments from many I was rather nervous. Did have to file down two nail points that could have been dangerous, but other than that it is divine!!! Will look at reinforcing some of the parts that others have said fall apart easily. I have quite a bit from Meinel so I felt good about ordering this and am very happy with my purchase! A month after this review i could already see the wood splitting and I hardly used it as I wanted to reinforce it. I love all my Meinel products so this is sad I can't use it. 😢

Never mess with a tiny rainstick again...
When we were kids; we all messed around with a rainstick. A foot...maybe three foot; it was fun and interesting, but that's about it. I bought the monster of this group and it arrived in good shape. Not only that, but with it's size; you can work to control the flows in order to keep the rain flowing unendingly. It looks great, it feels great, it sounds great. I know it's a relatively simple instrument, but it gives you a lot and this item is very much worth what I paid for it.

Lovely.
The sound of this rainstick is awesome. It is also a beautiful instrument. We use it sparingly, to keep it in good condition. I am careful to put it away to keep it from becoming a toy for my band members. I have noticed that the cord that is wrapped and glued around the ends is beginning to come loose. I think some wood glue or gorilla glue will be enough to fix the problem, but that is something to be aware of. I would buy it again, though, because it was a good price for a beautiful instrument.

Superb
Once again Meinl kills it in the percussion industry. Imitators will charge 1/3 the price and deliver exactly what you paid for. The craftsmanship and look of this instrument is beautiful. The sound is perfect. Hard to describe but if you have heard a crappy rain stick then this one is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Very please with my purchase.
