As a safety feature are ceramic hobs hot to touch?

Not tried! After you turn the ring off the display shows "h" for hot so I would assume they are hot to touch. The light up red when on.

What is the worktop cut out dimentions

I'm sorry , I dont know. I bought it and it fit my work top okay

For the price this is excellent. Heats up fast, good heat. Easy to clean. The scratch resistant surface isn't bullet proof, starting to wear after some use. Installation was easy. Very good

Great set of electric hobs. Very easy to install and fit into the space from my previous hob. Works well and heats quickly. As there are no nobs or dials, very easy to clean. Was a little concerned about my cats accidently turning it on if they walked over it, however you have to press several buttons to do this and if you don't then it auto turns off.
