I bought this for soap making. It has worked very well. It is the best value for the product I have found. It pours easy and does not clump up in the bottle. It is a large enough bottle that I have been able to make several loafs of soap with one bottle. I will continue to use this product.

High quality product, very pure and great value for money. Dissolves easily and the container is Child-resistant for safety, but also easy to open for being child-resistant. I use this for adjusting the pH of liquid supplement blends when necessary and as a result wanted to ensure I had a food grade product. I also use this when making pretzels, as I believe it makes a superior product to using something like baking soda. Do be careful when using this product, in raw form I would recommend wearing gloves and splash-proof goggles. Sodium Hydroxide is a great product when used as intended, but as a very strong base it can be very dangerous when used haphazardly.

I used this caustic soda to make homemade soap, and it worked really well — the texture and consistency were perfect. However, the final color of the soap came out much darker than I expected. Overall, I’m happy with the result, but I wish it looked a bit lighter.

Bought this to make homemade dish soap bars and it turned out great!! Very large amount for a good price.
