AcuRite 75099M 10-inch LED Digital Clock with Auto Dimming Brightness Red

I bought this clock in August to help my kids keep track of the time and date for cyber schooling. I wasn't sure how I'd like a blazing red LED institutional looking clock on my wall and I was a little concerned the light would overwhelm the room. I initially preferred blue, but the price was so much higher I went with red. I decided to go with Acu-Rite over an unknown brand because I have their hygrometer that still works great five years later. Turns out, we love the clock. The red is bright and has a nice, smooth glow, but doesn't burn your eyes or discolor the room. I can easily read it from two rooms over, so I can do chores and still make sure my kids are online at the right time. There was a problem, though. Just a little over a month after hanging it on my wall, I woke up in the morning and the display was completely black. I tried another outlet, which confirmed that the clock did not work. Since it was past the return date on Amazon, I went to Acu-Rite's website and chatted with a representative. (Currently, they only offer support through chat and email due to COVID.) While on chat, I provided my receipt and pictures, and THAT SAME DAY, they shipped out a replacement. Two days later I have a working clock before the start of a new school week! I hope this new clock works for years like my hygrometer. While I can't speak to the longevity of this unit, many people seem happy with theirs based on the high reviews, and at the very least, I can say that Acu-Rite stood behind their warranty and acted extremely quickly with respect to sending out a replacement.

Bought this clock to put in a window to see the time in the backyard. Bright enough and large enough to see as far out as we can go. Good value.

I originally purchased a cheap no-name digital clock, but it kept having errors out of the box. I considered exchanging it, but I decided on a refund and to pay more for a brand-name Acu-Rite version instead. The quality is much better, offering stronger plastics and ease of use. Plus it works.

AcuRite 75112M 10-inch LED Digital Clock with Auto Dimming Brightness Green This is a really nice Clock! The Program buttons are kind of Cheap but otherwise I like it! I have all the other sizes in (RED) but the GREEN is Super Bright and very EZ to read! I like the Battery back up that retains the correct time when the power is off because I have this in my Garage on a Socket that is on a motion Sensor so the Clock is only on when I'm out moving around, otherwise the clock is off and it remembers the time perfect! $40 is a bit over priced but the Numbers are Awesome on these Clocks and my RED clocks have been working perfect for a few years now! If this Clock was $20 bucks I would get one for my Shed. This Size was perfect between my garage doors tracks! Other than the Cheap program buttons its a 5 star Clock! The Bigger clocks have Date and Temp ETC, but the 10 inch is only TIME.

I have this in an office area. The visibility is good but the time accuracy is terrible. It constantly has to be updated to the correct time because after a few weeks its off by minutes.

We purchased this clock for an elderly lady that couldn't see very well. She couldn't see or read her wall clock. Decided to try this one and ta-da! She could read it!! Unfortunately, she passed away recently. We brought the clock home and mounted it in the garage. I can even read it way out in the yard. Note that this clock display is bright but adjustable. I would gladly buy it again.

I have always had large digit clocks since college. Recently, this meant projection clocks. After being spoiled by one of the "Scientific" clocks, I've had others recently that either had dim projection, or couldn't keep accurate time for even a week. So with this clock I went in a different direction. I went for very large digits I could see across the room without projection. Reviews I read said this clock keeps accurate time, and it had a dimmer. Whether it keeps accurate time will have to wait for a 6 month update, but this clock DOES NOT have a dimmer! I bought the white digit clock, and it is brighter than my 40" TV! I bought this for my large bedroom, where I need a dim but readable clock. So I went to Staples and bought a blue plastic report folder, and cut it to fit over the display. I now have a blue LED dim clock (still not quite dim enough) that I can read from anywhere. I could have bought a smaller version of this (I bought the 18 inch version) and still have large enough digits. UPDATE 12/12: A couple of weeks ago I noticed that the center segment of the hour digit became dark (8:00 looks like 0:00). smacking the back of the clock made the segment work again, but it wasn't permanent. This is bad construction. The LED works fine when it works, so the wire or the solder joint is loose. I'd expect something like this if the clock were 10 years old, not when it's only a one month old. I took one star off from 4 to 3 because of the build quality. UPDATE 12/28: After about 45 days the clock is running about 13 seconds fast...a lot better than the projection clocks I'm comparing it too, that are already three minutes slow. So I'll still need to reset it about 6 months along. Not great, not bad.
