Great environmentally-friendly compost bin filter!
Worked great in my stainless steel compost bucket! I did double them up in the lid as the instructions mentioned for extra smell control. The manufacturer also includes a handy guide, in case you need to cut the filters down to size. They appear sturdy, and I imagine they will last as long as predicted. Really happy to find this environmentally friendly alternative!

Fits. Easy install.
Fits into lid of small metal (2-3 gal.) compost bin. Won’t know for two years whether it lives up to its promise of “2-year supply.” Eventually they shrink and fall out of inside of lid into compost glop.

Cut to size, works perfectly
I bought to use with the vitamin food cycled fc-50. These work great! I just took the old one out, sat it over a new one and traced it in chalk then cut it out. Yes, I had to cut to size, but i don’t mind because I tossed the charcoal remnants into my bird fountain outside and all the algae sticks to it so I get multi use which is an added bonus.

Good so far
The filter fit perfectly into the lid of my Natural Home compost container. It keeps out fruit flies and is effective as an odor neutralizer. I haven't had it long enough to judge it is effective for 4 months.

Nice and thick.
I needed a thicker filter for a newly purchased metal countertop compost bin as the manufacturer included very thin filters that even when doubled let the odor out. Shame on the manufacturer for supplying cheap thin filters with a good compost bin. These thicker filters are amazing and work great in the lid of my metal compost bin. I also recommend the green compost bags Amazon sells as they work well in the bin and compost well.
