Is this model t being sold by the official trezor company or by resellers? how can we know a scammer isn't selling compromised wallets?

The Trezor T works with Exodus desktop. Whatever you have on your Tezos T wallet, when you connect it with Exodus, Trezor T coins will be displayed on your desktop Exodus wallet. Again, that means coins that are stored on Exodus and the coins stored in your will be displayed in the Exodus wallet. It might sometimes happen. It is basically technically impossible to "hack" the device itself, it never happened and hardly will. Every time you connect the Trezor to the computer for an update on trezor.io, we check FW+HW , update the old one, etc, so, it would detect any problem. Also, the device cant really send anything anywhere. The only scam running around regarding HW Wallets is phishing sites where victims enter their seed on the computer or very straightforward scam where someone opens the box and puts it nice looking sheet with predefined SEED with instructions on how to use it. The attacker then has the same seed and will simply move the coins elsewhere. But in this environment, we want to be extra sure and that is why the seal is in place so ordering replacement is definitely recommended.
