LOVE MY GOLD TONE
I have been playing my Gold Tone tenor guitar for about three months, and I love everything about it. The sound is loud and true; the construction and detail are first rate. I've read recently that China-made guitars are of excellent workmanship, and mine is proof of that. Don't let the China part discourage you. For the price, I have a wonderful instrument that will last and give me pleasure for years to come.

Very nice!
When my tenor guitar arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish. The sound is very bright with very little bass which is what you would expect from a tenor. The action is a little high so I plan to take it to a luthier for a set-up. The few dollars extra is justified since a Martin tenor is twice the price of the Goldtone. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this guitar. Just an update on my previous review. I had been playing using standard guitar tuning for the first four strings (DGBE). This allowed me to play without learning new chords. When I changed to the tenor tuning (CGDA), the guitar came alive! I liked the guitar before but now it's really sweet! If you're using the tenor as your main instrument, you may want to consider a Martin or a Blueridge but as a secondary guitar, the Goldtone is just fine.

Fantastic value at this price!
This 4- string Tenor guitar (NOT a ukulele!) is just what I had hoped it would be, Great quality, easy to play and tune. I bought for a client who is literally blown away at the value.

Its okay
The frets ends were a little rough to the touch, but other than that the build is okay. Is not built as well as the Kala tenor, which I had to sell last year. The gig bag is okay but no were near as well padded as the Kala bag. It sonically is on par with the Kala maybe even a bit better do to its slightly bigger size. I got the 10 which has laminated top the 18 is solid spruce. If sound is the most important spend the extra cash for it. I opted for the laminated do the fact that I take it back and forth to work with me everyday and needed something a bit more durable than a solid top. I just wish they made one that was fiber carbon so I would not have to worry about it at all.

Keep on Strumming
Received my guitar and the first one had a broken string. No problem as Amazon was right on it and shipped another. Guitar is beautiful and I hope to play a lot in the days ahead. All associates were friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase anything from Amazon.
