I have been purchasing this item since 2020. If you follow the battery charging instructions this will last long. I have bought one for aunty and my 87 year old father. And just bought my replacement. Listening to a Bluetooth device has too much bass and has unnecessary background sounds. I was interested in this item for its wireless but yet no use of WI-FI and the sound quality is what I was looking for! For my preference the cons truly out weighs the pros. Yes, the battery is not replaceable and once dead you will have to replace the it for a new one. But for the 5 years I’ve only had to replace it twice. I’ve learned that when you first receive it. Charge the device fully at least 3 hours. If the red light turns off before the 3 hours has ended, unplug and use it till it dies. This happened to me and I was worried as it stop charging less than an hour. But I unplugged it and used it for 8 hours and it died completely so I then charged it for the 3 hours that was needed and again unplugged and used it till it died. From this point on if it needed charging but I wanted to use it, I do so but unplug it as soon as the red light turns off(stating it is fully charged) then just continue to use it. It has been great in my home as there is 6 of us and we silently enjoy our own shows in our own spaces. It’s worth the money in my opinion if you take great care of it. I’m so happy that it uses a usb-c to charge unlike before it was a DC/AC TYPE plug. I am excited for this item to get improve! I choose this amongst others because it doesn’t need to sit on a charging device. I have it set up on my wall and plug when it needs charging so I can leave my table clutter free. Most of the devices like this needs to sit on the charger needing a designated table or space for this. But not this TOSIMO brand. And I’m so happy they made it back to its original design of more square than the 2nd design. The old school design was much better and stronger quality. I label my TOSIMO so I can make sure I do not overcharge and everyone at home can make sure to unplug it if it is fully charged.

Not sure why so many awful reviews; maybe a lack of quality control on the part of the manufacturer? But mine works fine, just as expected. This has solved a pesky "problem" at my house, which is more to do with the layout of my downstairs than anything. It's essentially one big room. TV is in one corner and kitchen is in another corner, about 30 ft away diagonally. You can see the TV just fine from there (50" set) but if the fridge kicks on, or the microwave is in use, or if you turn the water on, or -- way worse -- if the heat or A/C comes on you simply can't hear it. TV remote is RF (i.e., will work from outside probably) but soundbar is IR (i.e., old-school line-of-sight style) so that was a problem. Got tired of walking back and forth into soundbar remote range to adjust the volume per this or that. So now, if I'll be in the kitchen for more than a moment I turn this on. The speaker is parked on top of the fridge. It does bug me however that I'm at my current address for *13* years before it occurred to me to find something like this.

This speaker is not loud at all and it goes in and out of connection when if even works . Sometimes it won't even work at all and it's past the return window so was a waste of the 88 year olds hard earned money!!! Now we have to spend more money to find a different one. Do not waste your money it is definitely not worth it if the person is hard of hearing.

This is my second one. Bought one for senior mom. She loves it, TV no longer at a volume 50. After thinking about it, I wanted one too! Now I listen to the TV while doing chores around the house. Awesome! It's easy to setup, small as a mini radio, battery life is about 8 hr of continuous use. For my setup, I have a ROKU TV, then plugged in the recommended $14 - PROZOR 192KHz Digital to Analog Audio Converter - to my TV optical out (Prozor came with an optical cable), into this Tosima TV-8000 receiver, sending wireless to the "speaker". For a Roku TV, don't forget to edit the setting to either use Optical Auto out, or "Auto" out. Easy! Total setup time: 10 min tops. No more blasting the TV to hear it. I highly recommend this!

Great for listening to football games on the lanai.

Works very well. You can use it on battery life, which is around 6-7 hours. Or, leave it plugged-in for continuous use. Sound quality is OK too.

I love everything about this cute electronic gadget transmitter. First of all no need for batteries comes with a powerful built-in rechargeable lithium battery, with power adapter. Very portable you can use this transmitter with a compatible tv or music device. Has a headphone jack for personal listening without disturbing others. Great volume control. Easy to maintain just wipe with a clean cloth. This is the second transmitter I bought from Amazon I was so pleased with the first one that I just had to buy another one, plus I got this one in white color and on sale. A big thumbs ☝.

I got this for my 93 yr old Mother. The only problem is when we watch Prime, Netflix, etc it doesn't work. Only works with when using cable.

Great i can listen to my volume on the tv now without blasting the next door neighbours

Il prodotto va bene, il suono è pulito e semplice da usare, ma per collegarlo all'uscita audio di un televisore acquistato l'anno scorso, abbiamo dovuto comprare l'adattatore con il cavo ottico (il costo si aggira sui 20 €). Con un televisore più vecchio con uscita audio da 3,5 mm funziona con i cavetti in dotazione. Per il resto, i miei genitori sono soddisfatti e non ne fanno più a meno.
