Amazing movie

I'm a big fan of Jason Momoa and so was very happy when he was cast as Aquaman! He's an amazing actor and has played some amazing roles including Drogo in GOT. I especially liked the humour and cheekiness he brought to the role of Aquaman and the blend of live footage with the CGI was the best I've seen in a long time. My only criticism is that the film felt like scenes, or parts of the story were missing and had ended up on the cutting room floor, due to the restrictions placed on the length the film could be. I think perhaps it would have worked better as a TV series, as the background of Atlantis could then have been expanded apon. Having said that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the film and was happy to discover that the ending implies there will be sequal. It would make a fantastic TV series and with Jason Momoa cast as Aquaman, it would ensure the series ran for season after season!

I am not a big fan of the 'superhero' genre, so i didn't know what to expect with this film. In fairness, it is not a typical superhero story and is more along the lines of a fairytale, with a reasonably fleshed out storyline. My only critique would be that it feels very much directed at a younger target audience. The colours are overly fluorescent and unnecessarily bright at times for a film that spends half of its time deep underwater and it has an almost comic book, cartoony feel. This film could have been a little darker if it wanted to feel like a more adult movie. There were some very good action scenes however and Jason Mamoa is a fantastic leading man, with Amber Heard a great companion. Would happily watch a sequel when there is one

I rented this on prime for £4.99 using my Fire tv stick, which is plugged into an old Sony TV and The picture and sound were brilliant! Also, I live in a Lincolnshire village So the broadband can't be great. So Amazon have done their job. The reason for only three stars was the film! The underwater effects are very Trony. The underwater battle scenes are very Flash Gordon 1980! The story itself didn't make sense. Why would there be millions of technically advanced people living under the sea?! The positive for me was the cast: Jason momoa is brilliant ( my spell check just changed momoa to Nokia!) Great dry sense of humour but could also knock you out with one punch! Amba Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Defoe, Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren (my spell check just changed Dolph to Dolly!) I guess my overall review is watch it and make your own mind up.

To be honest, I had low expectations of this film and thought it was just another super hero romp, but I was was totally wrong! I loved this film. It was action packed and everything you’d expect from a DC Super hero film. But it also had a good story and plot and the special effects were really good too. I was also happily surprised to find that the film wasn’t all set under water. The main hero is very easy on the eyes, but unlike most most squeaky clean hero’s he has flaws, which makes him believable. There was chemistry between the main characters and there was also some clever humour. In addition, there are some really good performances by the actors in the supporting roles which also added to the overall experience. If you love action, fantasy and super heroes, you’ll love this. But if you aren’t necessarily a fan of comic book films, you’ll still love this as it’s fast paced, full of action and entertaining from start to finish!

We liked this film. A good story from the start, not too much back story which often ruins a film. The special effects are great and really enjoyed the imagination and creativity of the aquatic world. If you like science fiction then this is a great film to watch.

Senza entrare nel merito del film, che trovo molto godibile, non possono non spendersi parole di elogio per questo prodotto fatto a regola d'arte. Uno dei rarissimi blu ray ultra HD che nel nostro paese ha ricevuto un trattamento da manuale. Un comparto video meraviglioso, denso e profondo, valorizzato ancora di più dell'HDR, che conferisce una linfa unica alle palette di colori del film, ai dettagli dei volti, alle molteplici particolarità dei ricchi paesaggi. Un orgasmo per gli occhi incontrovertibile, considerando anche lo switch video a 1:78 (cioè a tutto schermo) che rende l'avventura, soprattutto per le sequenze negli abissi, ancora più coinvolgente. Fattore ancor più lodevole è, non solo, la presenza di una traccia audio HD ma addirittura la presenza di una traccia in Dolby Atmos a 7.1 canali, in italiano (!); con un impianto adeguato a casa, rivivrete semplicemente l'esperienza del cinema. Considerandolo forse un prodotto più unico che raro nel nostro paese, non si può non consigliare l'acquisto di blu ray così ben fatto. Stupendo.

non sto qui a recensire il film perché ovviamente ogni parere è puramente personale ....cmq è un film che si guarda molto piacevolmente poi c'è a chi può piacere tantissimo e a chi no .......l'edizione in questione é molto curata esteticamente ha una bella cover molto sbrilluccicante con una slipcover in cartoncino per collezionisti che fa una super figura in libreria ! per quanto riguarda le caratteristiche tecniche l'audio in italiano é un DTS-HD master 5.1 mentre l'audio inglese c'è anche in dolby 5.1 come lo spagnolo e il polacco inoltre solo per l'inglese l'audio c'è anche in dolby atmosfere tre HD ! I sottotitoli sono in spagnolo e polacco e per non udenti in italiano e inglese . per quanto riguarda i contenuti speciali è abbastanza ricco ce ne sono più di 60 minuti da going deep into the world of aquaman che è un making of del film .....becoming aquaman .....su come Jason Momoa sia diventato il celebre supereroe...a the dark depths of black manta ...per scoprire la storia del nemico più letale di acquaman .....e molto altro!!! amazon come sempre super competitiva per prezzo e spedizione velocissima !

Bel film ad un prezzo davvero ottimo. Il film su disco rimane ancora oggi il prodotto in grado di offrire la massima qualità audio video rispetto allo streaming (Netflix ad esempio). Il comparto video è di alto livello grazie alla luminosità dell'HDR e ai colori full RGB 4.4.4 senza compressione colore (come avviene appunto su Netflix. Il comparto audio non è da meno. Abbiamo 2 tracce audio in italiano con compressione senza perdita di qualità come il DTS HD master audio e il dolby true HD. Su quest'ultima, (e non è da poco) abbiamo l'effetto dolby atmos in italiano!!. Film da avere per gli appassionati del genere
