Good Quality Headphones
Headphones themselves feel cheap but the cable and and the headphone jack connector seem sturdy enough for the price. I've only bought these recently so I can't say anything about how long the headphones will last. Sound quality - The VE Monk Plus destroys Apple Earbuds in terms sound quality. I'm not an audiophile but the VE Monk Plus has more "oomph" in the bass and vocals in songs sound clearer when compared to Apple Earbuds. The only thing you need to worry about is the sound isolation and leakage. Other people can hear what you are listening to at moderately high volumes and it doesn't really isolate outside noise very well, However, these are inherent problems of headphones of this type anyway. Overall, the headphones are good for their price, sound great and has a decent build. I originally bought these to give to someone and i'm considering buying them again if they last long enough.

Solid set of earphones
I ended up getting these because my usual brand had stopped making non-noise cancelling earphones. I have sensory issues that make it extremely uncomfortable for me to use noise cancelling ones, and I'm terrified of losing expensive wireless earbuds, so it's really good to see some sellers are still making the old kind. I've been using these earphones for two days now. Sound quality is pretty good. I was expecting them to be a bit uncomfortable as they are hard plastic, but I've been wearing them for several hours at a time with no pain or discomfort. They even came with a bag of optional foam caps, but I haven't needed them so far. If I had any improvements, I would suggest maybe some silicone caps for the earphones instead of foam - they're much easier to keep clean. Other than that, these are some really good headphones and great value for money.

OMG! Rediscovered the 90s
Ok... The pros. I have a lot of head/earphones but regularly use: koss portapro(mod treble and yaxi pads), sennheiser ie80s (by+wired), sennheiser hd599 and 560s. Audeze sine's, Shure aonic 50's, lots of kz's, akg k702, master and dynamics MW07... Etc!!!! All played with ak70, fiio x7, shanling UA1 Pros: Very old school sound! Massive smile listening to ratm! I have not listened to old rock for a long time as newer headphones just don't sound right. However, these are so familiar, I can't help but smile... The sound is rich, not deep bass unless you press them into your ear or have bigger ears that I do. However the bass is nice and hollow! Yes, not very tight and these can experience clipping at higher levels, but the sound is fun, exciting, dynamic and incredibly open. I really like these for rock. If you are younger, I'm not sure these will make any sense, but for me at 45 these just take me back to my old sennheisers in the 90s (I believe these are old sennheisers! The design has obviously been bought by venture and rebranded. Even to logo looks like sennheiser but edited slightly. These in the 90s represented some of the best buds and it's still true now. (In terms of the retrospective sq) Soundstage is great!!!! Very relaxed but with some hollow punch. Definately offer an out of the ear experience with clear, if not the richest treble, but with the right music just sound right! Cons. The fit isn't great. Very comfortable as long as you can deal with the nice hollow sq. However, if you want banging, tight, dynamic bass then these will drive you crazy! You will be constantly be trying to push them into your ear canal. The bass is also quite slow so drub and bass, electronica sounds quite muddy and washy. At lower volumn the headphones do better. Conclusion. I would recommend these for rock and acoustic (they do work with everything else, but due to the hollow bass and open soundstage offer more gratification for certain genres) You should buy, let them burn in for an hour and then wack rage on and let yourself drift away to the 90s... I am reviewing with the price in mind and treating these as something fun and different, not something to replace my other phones.

BEST VALUE for sound quality
Very detailed sound - some say lacking in bass, but the bass has detail and nuance that bassier earphones don't have. Not ideal for walking about as they are not "in-ear monitors", but I actually prefer this now, I miss my old MX500s!! Fantastic for listening to music at home, they are my favourite for critical listening (I actually don't own any better headphones now, from experience I think I'd need to spend over ยฃ50 to match these). I had other pricier IEMs (CCA) that sounded so muddy in comparison that I sent them back. No DAC needed for these to sound fantastic if you have a 3.5mm jack on pretty much any modern multimedia device (sound great from my cheap Cubot phone, and PC). I did try them with a cheap 32bit USB C DAC but the noise floor was higher and the only advantage was increased volume. The volume control needs to be set higher on these than with other earphones, but they could still damaged your ears at full volume so really a DAC should not be needed.

These earphones are pretty sound.
Earphones are like glasses; you donโt realise how bad your old ones are until you get some new ones. This was true when I replaced my Sony MDR-E818LP earphone (singular because by their fifth year of use only the left was still working) with Sennheiser MX 375 earphones, easily the best Iโve ever owned. Three years on, they still work fine. But due to my dependence on decent working earphones at university (online lectures, Zoom seminars, you know the drill) I decided to get some spares. Seeing as I listen to most of my music through Youtube, thereโs no point splashing out hundreds of pounds on high-end headphones to listen to decent if compressed audio files. These VE Monk Plus earphones are just what I need. These earphones are slightly smaller than the Sennheisers and inevitably feel a bit loose, but are nevertheless comfortable and a good shape. I choose to wear them โnakedโ (i.e. without the foam pads, of which three pairs are provided) as I find they tend to muffle the sound rather than amplify it. Even without the pads, the bass can seem initially a bit muffled (while the treble is crystal clear and very detailed) but actually it has a warm acoustic resonance to it that adds an interesting โpresenceโ to the music. Time is the real test though, so Iโll have to see how long they last from now. But for now Iโd say if your needs are modest these headphones are good, and for just a tenner theyโre great.

Best budget non-in-ear earphones available
I hate that all headphones are moving to a noise-isolating bud style standard these days as I hate walking around not being able to hear my surroundings. Not to mention discomfort and hearing your own breathing. Not wanting to pay stupid money for basic Apple earphones (one of the few brands that still make earphone style ones) that break after 12 months or the insanely priced airpods, I decided to try these. Comfort is not great but by no means terrible. I can wear them for a few hours at a time without any issues and I would say sound quality is on par with Apple headphones. No complaints with these although I've just noticed that the wired Apple earphones have come down in price by a fair bit since I bought these 6 months ago (assuming they're not fakes), possibly due to the popularity of the wireless headphones these days. All in, happy I got these but will probably get wired Apple ones for the slightly better comfort if prices stay as they are.

Worth the price tag
First of all, these are well worth the price tag. Sound quality: MIDs & HIGHs are nice and clear. BASS is lacking but I think this could be resolved via EQ or via a Headphone Amp which I will try later. Basically I think they need more power to show their true potential. Was loving the earpads until one of them ripped as I was putting it on. I wouldn't go as far to say they are better than my higher end earphones or headphones but they are a nice addition to my collection.

The best earphones I've ever used.
As someone who enjoys hi-fi but can't justify spending ยฃ200 on a pair of earphones, I was looking for a new set as a reward for finishing some exams. I saw a review of the MONK on Head-fi, and thought it was worth a go, given the low price. I was very, very impressed with them. As soon as I starting listening, I couldn't help smiling. The sound clarity is detailed and better than any earphones I've used before, the soundstage and immersion is fantastic, the balance is slightly warm but not too bass-heavy (unlike many other earphones). To hear that sound coming out of a very ordinary-looking earbud was a very pleasant surprise. While it looks cheap, the build quality is actually decent, and they look like they'll last for a while. I would happily buy three other pairs to last me the next ten years. If you care about musicality rather than head-pounding bass, these are a great choice and incredible value for money.

Si son tus รบnicos audรญfonos, deberรญas considerar otra opciรณn.

Dirt Cheap, Quality Sound.
Don't you love when you buy the hype for a product, and it ends up living up to your expectations? meet VE monks. Probably the best non ear-intrusive earbud for the money right now. They come with a zip bag, which also comes with a set of foam covers. they are a tad big compared to other earbuds, but this really depends on your ears. I have no issues wearing them for hours on end. I ditched the foam covers, I find them obtrusive. The plastic is smooth so they wont hurt your ears. Overall, build quality is really good, the cable is a bit thicker than I expected. it should hold up well. Sound: Its hard to describe a headphone this cheap. if youre looking for price to performance, just stop reading this and get them. They are that good. Being a bit more critical, I'd still say the sound signature on these is really damn good, even compared to big boi headphones, and the respective competitors in this category. The mids are absolutely stunning. This is what everyone's raving about; the icing on the cake. the amount of detail in this range is impressive by itself, more so if you consider the price. This is no small feat for an earbud. Very spacious feel. Treble is recessed. non obtrusive, if you will. if you come from brighter headphones (DT990s in my case) youll find these a bit muffled. There is some sparkle missing, but they really grow on you after a while. It has that kind of sound signature where you want to crank the volume up. The Sony MDRE9LPs are much more sparkly than these, but they have no bass at all. Bass is ok. it's there and it's punchy. there's hardly any sub bass at all. come on, give these a break. Yincrow X6s (this earbud's main competitor) extend quite a bit more on the lower frequencies, but they are shrill to my ears. I didnt like them as much as I like these. No way to go wrong with Monks. You're getting a pair of earbuds that punch way above their price range in many aspects. Dirt cheap, quality sound.

Astonishing
My hat is off to Venture Electronics for what they've achieved for the audio world. Frankly, they've changed everything, and this isn't hyoerbole. They've told everybody, including all the big boys (Sennheiser, AKG, etc.), quality HIGH FIDELITY sound can be delivered to the public for pennies. Sure, this is helped achieved by the absolute BARE BONES packaging and build quality. But nonetheless, it tends to blow people's minds that such a product even exists, as it did mine. What this product does right: -Attempt at neutrality: even across the board audio representation. Nothing is recessed, nothing is artificially EQd to oblivion. Each frequency has a presence and is able to shine through without so much as touching a neighboring one. This bullet point is not just a breath of fresh air, it's a complete and utter anomaly for audio gear at or anywhere near this price point. Anything around this price is coloured (read: aggressively EQd to distract away from the horrid quality). Near total neutrality here is something that is. Not. Found. -Clarity. The sound has a presence and texture that are immensely detailed and articulate. Instruments can be analyzed. -Spacing. For ear buds, the soundstage on these is stupidly wide. Instrument seperation is stupid also. You don't have a width elements where everything scrunched together and jammed into a tiny ball. You can be "there" with the recording. -Price. This doesn't need to be explained. The pricing is what makes all of the above as true as they are. In that while yes, with no dispute all of those attributes are simply objectively true regardless of price, the price nonetheless provides that much more of a massive context for appreciation. What this product does wrong: -Lack of sub bass. Speaks for itself. Obviously very easily forgiven given the price. -Ergonomics. Comfort is a major issue. You have vast numbers of people complaining about these being able to fit in their ear canals. These aren't for tiny ears. One of my ear canals is particularly small and I can never get a totally true fit in it. Besides this, the plastic material is simply rough and uncomfortable. The foam pads help, but not by much. Why VE even toyed with the idea of ear buds is bizarre. There is a pretty good reason their existence has been so phased out over the past decade. -Quality of foam pads. The foam pads included are of horrendous quality. They're extremely difficult to attach and are hugely prone to tearing when engaged in this prolonged period of attempt to attach. Most importantly, they are far more prone even still to FALL OFF and get lost. Just taking them out of my ear is nearly always guaranteed to rip one or both of them off. The solution is to be sure to never just take them out like you would with any other normal earphone; you need to be incredibly delicate and slow. -Isolation and leakage. These are horrifically bad at letting in outside noise. Any slightly noisy environment will be letting in noise that will interfere with your listening. Sufficiently noisy environments will prevent isolation period, even when turning up to high volumes. Conversely, they also leak noise to the environment. Bad for listening in quiet spaces. But keeping them at a low volume doesn't yield bad listening, at least. To conclude, while I did indeed list off a string of noteworthy flaws, the price point negates every single one almost completely, save for the foam pad problems. The quality of the listening to price point ratio is simply too astonishingly high for any fault to properly distract. Also, it should be mentioned that initially these were sold at $5 USD. They can still be found for the price ($6, which is close) when buying through proper outlets, like the company's Ali Express page and website. However, there is an additional few dollars for shipping. That, combined with the dollar exchange, make $15 not leagues far off. Buy, buy, buy.

"Best bang for your buck"
This is the real deal. Great sound for the price. They surprised me with their sound stage, even with the output from my phone. In case you have an amp this will scale up quite well, the sound stage opens up even more. Imaging is decent. I own the VE Zen, so if you dont compare them the imaging is great too. Although the mids are great its still got that slight "V shaped" sound. But the treble is handled quite well, I dint notice any sibillance. About the fit thats good but it kind of hurt my ears after using it for 2 hours or so, or if i sleep on them, as these are quite big for my ears. Also, altought it looks plasticy lasts quite long even upon very rough usage(it litteraly stays in my jeans' pockets), I owned one for the last 1 year and they the connector just gave, and thats on me by the way. Go for it
